I think all this clarkson talk is just the lakers making it known to pacers that clarkson is the only guy they are willing to move to jump on George now instead of waiting for free agency. So if you want something in return there it is...if not, george will be playing with clarkson next season. |

So I'm assuming you think Clarkson will be sent to Indiana along with whatever the 3rd team gives up to Indiana cause that's the only way Clarkson is the hold up on the Paul George talks. |

This is from the point of view of a Jazz writer. Don't shoot the messenger lol. What I posted in italics is what the writer said. There might be a prevailing thought over there that Favors' place on the team is worthless, that he's an expiring, and that JC would actually be a useful piece for them for 3 more years. That's why they'd give up a pick. Simply put, they would feel that JC was useful for them and that Favors isn't. |
Gotcha, it was more a general sense of incredulousness. If the Jazz want to give a pick or even swap 24 for 28 in a JC for Favors trade, sign me up!
Without the pick, I'm a little less bullish - I'd like to not just salary dump JC, and I can't see Favors making long-term sense on this roster. |

Jordan Clarkson believes he can co-exist with No. 2 pick and D’Angelo Russell
Quote: | Clarkson and guard D’Angelo Russell are among the most likely trade candidates given that framework, but Clarkson reacted with a shrug on Friday. “I try to keep my nose down and keep grinding,” Clarkson said. “I keep working and having fun.” 2 hours ago – via Orange County Register |
