1) Can you explain why you are not letting Jerry West back into the organization?
2) Will you reconsider, and if so, under what circumstances would you let Jerry West be a part of the Lakers again?
3) Who's decision was it to pay Kobe max salary after he tore his achilles?
4) Do you ever involve yourself in basketball-related decisions? |

With Staples Center approaching the 20 year mark and almost 2/3rd's through a typical NBA stadium's life-cycle, is there any plans for notable renovations? What sort of new or improved amenities would you look to include in a future stadium down the line? |

I am not sure that would be a question for her, the Lakers do not own Staples Center. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

That's correct, AEG owns Staples. The first question is uniquely worded towards Jeanie. It's natural to assume she would be aware of any plans in store for Staples Center given her teams' vested interest in the site as well as AEG's involvement on the Lakers Board of Directors. The second question is more of an inquiry as to what sorts of features Jeanie and the Lakers would like that Staples Center doesn't or can't provide. |

According to some of the media people who frequent Staples the wifi is horrible. Compared to newer facilities, it is an antique. Adding that to your question might be appropriate. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

My question:
Why won't you let Jerry west back into the organization despite his pleas to be part of the organization? |

I agree. Last game I got to see there was the Kobe Achilles game.
I bet it hasn't been upgraded since.

Yes, the ultimate question. It is mind boggling because he would just be an ADVISOR. He would have no power. My assumption is that Magic and Jeanie don't want any credit going to West which is counter-productive because West's success would measure theirs. |

It'd be nice to ask how far the Jwest talks went and what he wanted but i doubt jeanie would release that information.
For us to assume he'd come back as simply a consultant/advisor is stretching it; unless it's been stated somewhere. But it's the no brainer move for all sides.
Maybe that's the question, avoid grilling her on what happened and give her a hypothetical to fluff.. "was the decision made regardless of what position/control/compensation Jwest wanted? if he simply a free advisor to his son to end his career, Jeanie would say no?"
Preface it with "there might be a misunderstanding in the fanbase from Jwest's comments, the impression is that under no circumstance would he be welcomed back because Jwest never mentioned his conditions for returning..." _________________ KOBE!!! |

From what has been reported there were no talks. Reportedly West reached out to the Lakers about retiring here and was told they weren't interested. I think things died right there. Technically West isn't a FA until July 1, so unless they had permission from the Warriors, the Lakers couldn't discuss terms with him. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Cool hearing about the details of the new HQ. Didn't realize they will have cryogenic rehab there. Also a nap room, lol. I want one of those. |

Ya i assumed there would have been some rules being broken and the generic reply had reasoning behind it. So questions about it always had answers and the rest is just ridiculous criticism about "rejecting the logo". lol _________________ KOBE!!! |

Can someone ask if the Lakers are breeding a Kobe/Magic clone somewhere in their new facility? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Her answer on Jerry: "Jerry is a great basketball mind. Now that Magic Johnson is the head of our basketball, I would like to see Magic's vision fulfilled in terms of what we do on the court. So there is no...I think we have all the people in place so there is no plans for that." |

One other quote that's a contrast from Jim is her involvement on the basketball side of things: "I leave that to the basketball minds." |
