Seems like another act of terrorism. How will Trump act? I hope he comes close to being presidential.

Witnesses saw van mow down pedestrians, victims slashed on London Bridge

MSNBC reporting 3 locations were acts are being committed. I'm guessing ISIS will be claiming responsibility shortly.

Trump can't save Europe. These guys are using the most rudimentary of weapons like knives and cars now. They are just going for body count, probably don't even care about high value targets anymore.

Not to mention there's no point in politicizing this discussion. We have a political thread. Let's just focus on the facts and the victims.

BREAKING NEWS H L & T N Let's try not to make it political. Soft targets are becoming the norm for ISIS. That means everyday people gathering are targets.

You brought up Trump in a thread about an attack in a European nation . . . just sayin'.

Targets are even softer when you're using trucks and knives.

I haven't had the TV on so when I read the title my first thought was Lake Havasu. Most of you are correct, unfortunately, it is hard policing attacks like this.

I've been watching the fights Adonis Stevenson vs. Andrzej Fonfara and Jean Pascal vs. Eleider Alvarez. Two good fights. Stevenson made quick work of Fonfara.

Has any group claimed responsibility?

Even though any loss of life sucks, if the death toll remains at 6 or 7, it will be a lot less worse than most people expected.

I can't even imagine how many casualties there would be if the UK was lax on gun laws, and all three of them had semi-automatic rifles (or any gun, for that matter).

Feel for UK and France. They have many more of these military aged male terrorists lurking among them. Sad thing is these incidents will continue even if they make better attempts to help British/French-born fundamentalists and recent immigrants assimilate into European cultures. Hell, some of the ones who are born there grow up to pull things like this (Jihadi John, e.g.) There are also madrassas in these countries where hate speech and encouragement to attack infidels is avidly preached. Just saw footage of one in GB where the instructor was beating the male kids into reading the Koran, yanking them around by the necks/arms. Some of these kids can grow up to function well enough to blend in within society until they somehow get turned and they suddenly feel the urge to run a bunch of Europeans over or kill children. That kind of instruction isn't too far off from the teachings of Anwar al-Awlaki. Fortunately, the US was at war at the time and he wasn't in country. Made it easier to peg him an enemy combatant. Perhaps GB and France should find a way to revoke the citizenship of instructors in madrassas who behave that way. Deport their asses back to where that style of teaching is more appreciated.

It's unfortunate the realization that the patience, understanding, and willingness not to be bowed by terrorism shown by Brits and French probably doesn't really serve them all that well in the end. Over here, too. We do the same. The Brits stood tall and mourned the kids killed in Manchester and days later this happens. It's not about a nation's pride and "tolerance". It's an existential threat. It's lives. Dead kids. Dead teens and 20somethings. Corpses. Wasted futures. The governments want people to remain calm after mass murders. They have little to no clue how to prevent these things. When the people are calm in the face of dead little 8 year old girls, that allows the governments to go on business as usual. Then it becomes a vicious cycle.

Wellp, my thoughts go out to the families of the innocents slain in this attack. That means less than nothing to them.

Onto the next one...

Clarification. Let's keep Trump out of it. Just something I'm asking.

Unfortunately, this appears to be the case, especially in Europe where they have a major problem on their hands.

First

Condolences to ALL of those who are being affected by this incident. This includes those who will be treated abusively now because two men committed a crime who have a belief that relates to theirs...

Will tonight be any better?

There is a concert now?

If they used a Drone, Jet, or Missile to attack with then it would have caused less terror.
