Yep. Got the blood boiling. Only thing missing is some of Heinson's broadcasting on CBS that we had to suffer through (if you didn't switch on the radio for Chick). |

From a Boston fan, I'm really enjoying this documentary of both teams as they go through the NBA year by year even the years they didn't face each other in the Finals.
I also liked that they spent a good amount of time on the 60s teams with West, Chamberlain vs Russell, Cousy etc.
Even though he's a Laker, I'm always glad to see Magic in good health in all his recent interviews. I always had tons of respect for him as the arch nemesis of my favorite Celtics player Larry Bird. May he continue to live well for many years.

The way the Lakers lost in 84, not just choking but dealing with all the trash talk, it showed what they were really made of when they came back the next year and won. I wasn't around back then, but it seemed like the 84 finals just gradually became a nightmare for our whole city.

After the amazing '82 season, the next two years were indeed painful: Lakers getting swept in '83 vs Dr. J+Moses Malone, then losing in '84 to the hated Celtics. It just made that '85 win in Foston so much sweeter. Four finals in a row. |
