No, Lebron can still get a sign and trade done if the teams match up as long as Cavs don't renounce his rights. |
It doesn't eliminate them. However, if you believe he's already made a decision (which I do) then why wouldn't you just agree to the opt-in if you wanted to go to Houston, Boston, San Antonio, or anywhere other than the Lakers, Philly, or Cavs? |

I saw that. He said he doesn't think LeBron's family would want to live in Philadelphia or Houston. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

IMO, our picks today show that the FO is confident that LeBron is coming. Mo and Svi are LeBron's type of supporting players (a la Love and Korver). |

Just an opinion. |
I think that goes without saying. What exactly does LeBron have left to do in Cleveland? He already brought them a ring. The only thing that he has to do is topple Golden State, not sure that's easier to do in Cleveland than Los Angeles. But I think he's got real value in being the Lakers' savior. |
I hope he comes to LA. But Lakers won a title in 08 and 09 and not to mention 13 other titles. LA's not nearly as hungry for a chip as other cities. He'd be immortalized forever if he brought a title to Sacramento, Utah, Orlando or other cities where NBA is the only major sport in town. |
Immortalized forever among the tiny fan bases of those teams, sure. But if he’s the guy who puts the Lakers back on the map and leads us in taking the total rings crown from the Celtics, the extremely large and worldwide Laker fan base will love him forever. To say nothing of Lebron also potentially passing up Kareem’s point total while he’s a Laker too, maybe while playing with or against his son. Nice way to end his career and make his argument for GOAT. |
Exactly. People remember Bill Walton more for his damn ring as a 6th man for the Celtics than his leading Portland to the title in his prime. |
There’s no overestimating how great Bill Walton was at UCLA, and had his career in the NBA not been wracked by injury, he would easily have finished as one of the top handful of centers in league history. |

This is going to be one hell of a ride, Lakernation. Longest team in the league in 7 game playoff series... now, can Luke gameplan a strategy against the rox and dubz... _________________ DEAR BASKETBALL |

Having Lebron on the team makes Houston much less scary because Lebron will abuse Harden and CP3 on switches. GS is a different story though, but I think having PG, BI and Kuz will give Lebron a lot more options offensively. |

If he’s coming here then he will sign once FA comes, if he waits then that won’t be good for us. |

I'm only worried about GSW if they sign Dwight. Man, that would suck trying to deal with him on top of everything else... you expect to see someone like ZaZa or JaVale... but even in his diminished state... he would be a problem with that lineup. |

Quote: | Windhorst said he's 51 percent sure LeBron is going to L.A. regardless of Kawhi and PG. He then said 40 percent Cleveland and 9 percent Philly. That's obviously his feelings, but interesting given how plugged in he is with that camp. |

From what I understand, if LeBron opts out, that means he can no longer do a sign-and-trade. And he has until June 29 to do that. So in effect, that would eliminate Houston as an option.
At least that's what everyone at ClutchFans are afraid of. They all know that if LeBron opt out, their dream is over.
Can anyone else confirm this?

I believe that that is not true - something about they also have to renounce his rights. _________________ one dog goes that way the other dog goes the other way |
