In fact, could even see something like this (probably not likely but interesting to me):

KCP
Hart
BI
Kuz
LBJ

With LBJ/BI you have 2 guys who can run the offense.

BI averaged under 4 assist/game on 2.5 TOs. I honestly dont get where the idea that he's ready to be a point-forward is coming from.

Probably because he ran the offense while Lonzo was out, and did a fine job of it too.

Weren't we like 14-10 in those games, or something like that? Sure it's a small sample size but his entire career is a small sample size.

Not sure if he's just joking (since the picture is a joke) or if Luke actually mentioned it. But it's nice to know that Lebron knows our coach's name.

I don't think he's irrelevant. Whether he starts or not is irrelevant, with the presence of Rondo. But having him (even if it's off the bench) assures that there will always be another elite passer/playmaker on the floor at all times to take the pressure off of LeBron. The whole point is so that LeBron DOESN'T have to repeat the carry-job he did last season.

Kuz and Ingram can carry the load while Lebron sits. If need a ball handler, then Rondo could fill that role, too. So Lonzo isn't really needed.

Rondo can't play 48 minutes, and you don't want Kuz and Ingram creating all their offense for themselves. Never mind Lonzo is the best defensive guard, on the team, and someone who can push pace to create easy opportunities. This is a guy looking at shooting and claiming a guy has no value.

Hart is the best defensive guard on the team, I prefer him in at the end of games over Rondo and Ball.

There’s a reason they call him The Excellence of Execution, Josh “Hitman” Hart.

Of course he wants to play more 5. You guys think this was just Luke’s call? Lebron clearly has seen the direction the NBA has gone. He’s seen the style of play and the personnel we have. It simply makes complete sense that he would want to play the 5. You guys actually think he enjoys having to initiate offense every time down the floor like he did with Cleveland?

Draymond is the most effective 5 in the game right now. It’s not hard to see the similarities, except Lebron can shoot better.

Lebron at the 5 extends his career. The only mismatch in the league will be Gobert. The rest of the centers in the league are pretty soft. Pre-injury Cousins could have posed a threat, but I seriously doubt he will be able to stay on the court vs this lineup.

Zo (need his length, defense, and rebounding ability)
Hart (strength to switch onto forwards is key here as well as rebounding)
BI (length and ability to switch 1-4, ability to drive to rim)
Kuzma (He will be the focal point of the offense in this lineup if we want to succeed)
Lebron (ability to roll, slide to the 3 line, as well as initiate offense is the key)

Now...here’s the rub. Will this team get out in transition? Yes

We led the league in transition possessions last season with 1815 total possessions, which was over 100 more than the next team. The issue? We weren’t efficient or effective in these possessions. We had a score frequency of 49.3% of the time? The top team in the league was at 53%. We ranked in the bottom 3rd in the league.

Now you add Lebron and another year of these guys development....this is where this team will butter its bread. In transition. Get that % up to 52 and we are a top 4 seed in the West. We have the personnel to really run this season. Every single player on this team can rebound and push pace from 1-14 (Zu probably the slowest, but also likely the player that will be counted on to play vs the heavier C’s in the league).

His numbers in his 2nd season looked pretty close to the 2nd season of another point forward.

PIPPEN 2nd year(23) vs B.I. (20)
33.1 MPG v 33.5 MPG
14.4 PPG vs 16.1 PPG
47.6 FG% vs 47.0 FG%
6.1 RPG vs 5.3 RPG
27.3 3P% vs 39.0 3P%
3.5 APG vs 3.9 APG
66.8 FT% vs 68.1 FT%
1.9 SPG vs 0.8 SPG
0.8 BPG vs 0.7 BPG
2.7 TOPG vs 2.5 TOPG

I think he is almost there.

I was gonna say, that picture's a joke, right? Thought he might be on the Mike Bibby diet.

Hart is very intriguing. Honestly I think Hart is about the same defensively as BI and Kuz. I think Lonzo is a little better in my personal opinion. Hart is a better offensive player then Lonzo clearly at this point however. And does Lonzo defense and passing ability outweigh Harts better overall game?

Ultimately it would be nice to see

Lonzo
Hart
Ingram
Lebron
Kuzma

KCP is really the only other player I want to squeak in there. And if Lonzo is not reliable it will be

Hart
KCP
Ingram
Lebron
Kuzma

Either way Lebron gots some horses like he never had. Lebron bout to take his new toys for ride watch

You're always so clueless about such basic things, man. Seriously. I expect national media folk to not understand Lonzo’s game much since they barely watch him, but as a fan, you should understand his style of play and what he brings to the table a lot better than you do.

Never implied Lebron is better than Green. However, over the course of a series, I’m not sure there would be a large discrepancy.

The key difference being Lebrons clear superiority on offense.

Just line them up and compare defensive ability

Zo > Curry
Thompson > Hart (Could be close to a push if we see some improvement)
BI > Iguadala (at this stage in career)
KD > Kuzma
Draymond > Lebron (over the course of a season at least)

Only significant difference right now is experience, which the Warriors clearly possess. Our bench will be superior.

So regardless of Greens ability, our offense will pose significant issues. Last season, if the defense keyed on Julius, that was it. He either bully balled or got a charge.

Now Lebron will be able to use his post game, or create for others, or just flow with the offense and move to the 3 line to space the floor. It’s basically what we all wished Julius was.
