Come on, guys. This thread is still in recovery mode from the last LeBron vs Kobe argument lol. Is it related to who's better or simply who's going to be willing to recruit that co-star we need?
It really doesn't matter what it's about, honestly. Anything that compares the two of them in even the smallest way will usually birth a heated argument for at least a few days, and it wouldn't be limited to whatever it was about initially. Sooner or later folks are gonna start making yo momma jokes and suspensions will be evenly distributed. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. The vid below gives us a pretty good idea of the kind of defense we should probably expect from LeBron during the regular season:
It's pretty much a mixed bag that consists primarily of three types: Mild effort, zero effort, and necessary effort. Of the three, I'm expecting mild effort for the most part, which I'm fine with. As long as he’s alert (which he does seem to be 99% of the time) the team will be fine. There were only a few plays where his effort was totally nonexistent. I expect teams to do the best they can to make him work and use up energy. The guards will be looking to attack him on the switches. However, that could also work against them if they don't score and it's still a live ball. If the Lakers get a stop on a live ball, all LeBron has to do is leak out in transition and wait for a teammate to throw him the pass. And that will usually be a crossmatch because of the switch on defense, so the player he’d have to beat would be the guard he was defending. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. FWIW, LeBron’s recruitment of Kevin Love (via phone call) was instrumental in convincing Love to come to Cleveland. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. Kawhi to the Lakers next summer
Yeah man!!!
“Players can’t tamper” works in the Lakers favor in such a big way this year. Lebron will talk to KL and KD all year completely legally, and we’ll land one (most likely KL) next summer.

Did Lebron defend against opposing 3s or against 4s more often last season?
IIRC, last year was the first year he spent more time at 4 since around the 12-13 season in Miami (when they were running their small blitzing defense with Bosh at 5). His percentages flipped from 60/40 3/4 to 40/60.
In your opinion can Beasley and Deng play the Bosh role?
No. But we aren’t playing a blitzing defense. And I don’t see them at the five. I think bron will play the bosh role. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
