Lebron has improved on defense from last year. Skip brought up that defensive win shares stat this morning. He was in the 300s last year, so far he is 180ish

Definitely knew his defense wasn’t that bad.
Besides his lethargic close outs at the three on players who aren’t the Splash Brothers he’s looked okay to me.
Especially when he’s defending Bigs imo he has no business guarding.

I’m pretty sure a lot of the other Lakers not only Lebron are tired of guarding trees like Jonas Valanciunas.

I mean Josh Hart wore a Shaq jersey before the game yesterday as a joke and I feel was a slight jab at Luke and the coaching staff.
The small ball lineup ain’t working and all it’s doing is burning our players out.

As much as Cleveland jumped on Lebron’s back as he took them to the Finals in the Leastern Conference , Tristan and Kevin Love did a lot of the dirty work in the interior.

LeBron’s defense was awful last night... same with everybody else. There’s no need to sugarcoat LeBron’s defensive effort last night and definitely no need to exaggerate the doom and gloom scenario.

We’re taking our early lumps 10 games in, Even with Prime Dwade and prime Bosh, it took LeBron 20 games just to get to 0.500, let’s see how we do by Xmas

Your making a lot of sense in this lively debate even Javale had a bad game defensively and he's the best we have Lebron is still a great player but he's getting old and your not going to get great defense at this stage in his career and the FO knew that when they signed him. They may have to slow down the pace to help him some and bring in some good shooters in free agency.

I didn't watch that many Cavs regular season games, but I swore Lebron played way better last year on defense. At least putting a hand up last year. Not only on defense but on offense. I thought based on summer league that he wouldn't miss a beat this year. Maybe he is beginning to decline or being passive aggressive against Luke. I dunno.

When he was on the Cavs last season he didn’t have to guard Lamarcus Aldridge one night then Serge Ibaka the next day after.

Let’s not forget he’s also had to guard KAT and Jokic.

Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson didn’t get enough credit for their services during Lebron’s reign in Cleveland

Yeah those two have really shown their value this season. By any chance, were you the one here over the summer claiming that the Cavs were going to surprise some people?

The Cavs did surprise people... by firing Lue so quick

Cavs were 29th last year in defensive rating. I think we can be better than that this year...

Tristan is obviously a non factor with out Lebron there and the last time I checked smart guy, Kevin Love hasn’t played this season as he just went through surgery on his foot.

Where you one of those people who didn’t want the best player on the planet to join the Lakers last summer?

An no I’m no damn Cavs supporter gtfo with that mess bruh

My bad. I had you all wrong.

A Lebron hater was actually claiming that, FWIW, and I couldn't remember who.

Let's just pretend we got a 5% better Paul George this summer and will get the real prize this summer in KD or KL or AD

Lebron is going to be 34 years old with a ton of mileage.

Cannot really expect him to be the Miami version of lebron. That being said, it's only been 10 games but he has used up a ton of energy already compared to his east coast days.

Last season, Lebron was straight up coasting until like March...

This season his expending so much energy already

Apparently Lebron went to P Diddy's party after the game.

Probably should be watching film or practicing free throws.

There's no coasting out West. There's no coasting in a Lakers Uni.

i'm sure you didnt watch too much (I don't mean that in a bad way). Once you see a lot of actual entire games with lebron, it becomes quickly obvious that something doesn't jive. The hype doesn't match the product. And I knew the Lakers fans would soon see that. This is a very different player than the ones who preceded him like KObe, MJ, Magic, Barkley, Bird, etc. Same hype, just not as good. not even close.

I do believe Lebron is trying harder on defense. I think other parts of his game has taken a hit too.

Kobe wouldn't have gone to a celebrity party after a loss...

Not true, he was pedal to the metal at the beginning of last season. He came out on fire, what are you talking about? I thought he hit a wall in January and started to run our of gas.

You don't have to watch film, shoot free throws, or anything else right after a game is over. That is ridiculous. There's nothing wrong with him attending his friend's party and supporting him.

Being a basketball player doesn't mean you're no longer allowed to have any semblance of a life outside of basketball. It will never cease to amaze me that people actually think this way.
