Lebron is currently 11th all time in assists. Needs 215 more to break the top 10.

Has a Laker even gotten a 40/10/10 triple double? I'll guess not.

LeBron and Durant!

From Woj’s article:

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25285375/kevin-durant-nba-most-powerful-person

Quote:
You think James checking in with Durant about whether he'd want to sign with the Lakers last summer was only a throwaway flier?

Everyone in the league knows Durant might leave next summer. Just like everyone in the league knew James might leave Cleveland a year ago.

After the game Paul Pierce gave his take on the Lakers and said they were riding Bron too much too early and he would wear out come playoff time

Kudos to Magic & Rob for the Lakers' league-best depth, saving LeBron for a deep playoffs run. That's right - Warriors-Lakers, West Finals. Write that down.Sam Alipour added,

Brian Windhorst

LeBron James currently averaging fewest minutes in his career (35.1) & has his highest scoring average (27.6) since 2009-10 season.

That Florida Road Trip is normally brutal for us. The Magic and the Heat like most teams always gets up extra to play the Lakers and it’s normally a tough battle.

Feeling more confident with Lebron of course but it should still be a war 🔥🏀🔥🏀

Last night's game bron looked like the best player in basketball. I don't think I could honestly say that in the other games we've played this season. If he keeps this up or plays at this level in the playoffs we're one GSW implosion away from a ring!

Magic was the closest. 42/15/7 in the 1980 Finals.

BI could of helped Lebron make history if he didn’t tank that 3 at the end of the game

It's like they don't even do their homework as commentators. It's really incredible how far a former player label can get you as an analyst.

Paul Pierce is still stuck on his Celtic days, maybe he doesn’t to go off as a guy who has turned into a Laker fan after playing for Boston after all those years... Everyone knows LeBron has the ability to play at a high level for months, ESPN is probably jealous that we are back on top again.

Well his minutes are slightly down in comparison to other teams that were also riding him heavily but I agree with the point being made. He's getting older and minutes going down should be a given.

He has to be healthy through the end of the season for the team to have any chance.

Also Kobe with 40, 8, 8 in the 2009 Finals (sitting most of the 4th quarter)

He played a perfect game. Some incredible passes (the no looker to Mcgee and the behind the back one to Kuzma (?) were a thing of beauty). What a luxury to have him on our team.

Like I said in a previous post, LeBron is making this look easy. And it's because the surrounding talent can actually set him up on offense and shoulder the burden for him in that regard. Now he takes over when he needs to, which isn't every single possession like it was in Cleveland last season. He can just run up and down the court and get the ball in positions to score instead of having to work hard to do it on his own. Then when he feels the need to iso halfcourt, he can do it without impacting the overall offensive philosophy of the team.

I meant Kuzma’s gonna stick a needle in Bron’s A$$.

Give this level of effort every night and I have nothing to say. Good game - Finally.

Don’t be surprised if he has a stretch of 40+ games at some point, probably after the ASB when he usually gears up for the playoffs.
