I think the Kobe v. LBJ is a digression. It's more of a team construct question. If it was Kobe/Shaq/prime TMac, I think someone would take a backseat naturally. I know that Kobe wouldn't take it in that case and be #3. That's for damn sure. |
On a Kobe/Shaq/Prime TMac team. I think Kobe would do whatever is necessary to win. His points would drop. And his assists would probably go up. And Kobe would do his Olympic defense thing. Because we all know about prime TMac's defense. That was one of the biggest things that separated him from Kobe. |
I'm not so sure. Someone wouldn't be happy. Sharing 1A/1B status didn't work for either Shaq/Kobe. Adding a prolific TMac level player would have been rough. Heck, even Glen Rice was tough too. |
Lebron/Shaq/Prime TMac is a worse trio in terms of fit. Shaq isn't leaving the paint. And TMac wants paint access too.
Good luck Lebron convincing Shaq he shouldn't post up and instead pick and roll 25 times a game. Shaq isn't Tristan Thompson. And he sure as (bleep) isn't taking pick and pop 3s like a modern day center like Embiid or Love. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Interesting. Windhorst said that Lebron has been playing better because he’s been playing more point. He said in Cleveland he was tired of playing the point and playmaking, but that is the roll he was always meant to play, and Cleveland knew that (shot at the Lakers?). |

I think I read he didn't want to play point in Miami either, but it's the role he naturally gravitates to.
I think it'll be the same at the Lakers - "I don't want to play point all the time" ... starts playing point next season because that's when the Lakers play their best xD
He's 11th all time in assists, and an amazing passer. Which team wouldn't want to take advantage of that? It's hard at the moment because of Rondo and Lonzo, but Lakers look best with Lebron at point atm. But Lonzo needs his minutes for development purposes. We need Lonzo playing good in the future. |

I don't get it.
He doesn't like playing point forward? |

Why do you care?
What he does with the Banana Boat crew is his own business. |

Hopefully some of Lebron's teammates can start becoming disrespectful too. |

Yeah that would mean a 100 point outing by LeBron |

I can't wait until the front office gets him some upgraded talent. All of our young players will never be a number 2 option on a championship contender. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Would have been blown out by the worst team in the league if not for him. |

Remember when we were down 99 - 91 with 5 mins left in the game?
Thought we were going to lose that one.......
But LeBron goes on a run, first he throws an assist to Kuzma, then LeBron takes it upon himself to score 9 straight points to take a 102 - 99 lead.
So nice to have a star who can take over a game. _________________

For a while it looked like it was going to be one of his passive aggressive “I need help” type game but then he’s like (bleep) it, we need every win we can get in the west.
Young core played composed down the stretch, too. |

He got angry. When Hart screwed up on the jump ball, when Lonzo refused to lay the ball up instead turning it over trying to pass outside the 3 point line, and a couple of questionable ref decisions. Seems like he plays his best when ticked off
EDIT: Jump ball not jump shot |
