93 scrapping through regular season, wins chip
94 out there to prove a point, loses in the 2nd round
Also the team kept the 90-93 championship core, while adding key pieces from the 95-98 core, like Kukoc, Longley, Kerr. That team was the one to 4peat if MJ didnt retire, before reshuffling the team for the 96 title run _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

Lebron probably wins 7 rings in a row with Scottie and Kukoc with Rodman going ham on the boards, that team won 55 games without Jordan. No team has a winning record when Lebron departs, appreciate the real goat while he’s still with us. |

Luke Walton on LeBron: “He got treatment and shots yesterday, he got treatment and shots today.” Walton was then asked if LeBron has been running, and said, “I don’t know if he ran today.” Then said “yeah” when asked if he’s done any running. Added: “He tells me he feels good.”

So Lebron has been doing some running, otherwise ... Luke doesn't really know or won't really say other than "Lebron tells me he feels good".

Exactly lol.
They just stupidly thought that they could handle teams without him hence the fake reevaluation date after the "weak" stretch. |

I don’t get the he could play right now argument.
Why would the Lakers want to piss away playoff chances? Is there some conspiracy theory that the Pelicans asked to see what the kids got without Lebron?
It doesn’t make any sense imo. Especially, with the big egg on the face if they miss the playoffs. |

no denying that, BJ Armstrong was pretty good when he finally got to start as well. that 93-94 team could have been the best team Jordan was on if he didnt leave. Paxson, Armstrong, Pippen, Grant, Cartwright all stayed, while they added what will turn out to be important pieces from the 2nd 3peat in Kerr, Longley, Kukoc. they did what Shaq often mentions, improve the team if you want to repeat. there is no doubt in my mind they would have been the 1st and only team to 4peat after 60s Celtics, had Jordan not retired in October just before the season begun. they would lose in 95 imo. Jordan returned for only 17 games that season, they went 13-4, beat Hornets in the playoffs and gave Orlando a tough series, despite losing their 3rd best player to them. the end results were -3, +10, -9, +11, -8, -6, so if Jordan wasnt rusty, they might have won, but they dont beat Hakeem who got joined by Drexler, while not having Horace Grant/Dennis Rodman imo. so this might have been the year to hurt Jordans perfect finals record, but sadly, we never got the chance to find out.
but anyway, back to the original point. Jordan left a 3peat team at the peak of their power, AND they improved the team additionally. Pippen, Grant and Armstrong got better as well. James hasnt left a team in similar state in his career yet, the closest would have been Cleveland in 2016 if they kept everyone else, AND added guys like Korver, Jeff Green, George Hill etc. i think that team can reach the 2nd round of the playoffs as well, assuming everyone is healthy. or an opposite example, if Jordan never retired and left Chicago in 95. right after the season ended, not in October just before the next one is about to start. _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

lol yes. this team is damn inconsistent, one game we keep up and beat playoff contenders, then we turn around and lose against tanking teams. the core is still too young to carry us, the veterans are good but inconsistent, the coaching staff is mediocre. we need James and Rondo for our offense to not look G league level _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

The "re-evaluation date" is simply an easy way to answer reporters when they ask about the time frame for Lebron's recovery.
Saying "Can't really tell you anything until he is re-evaluated in a week" is better than saying, "Hell if I know."
Lebron will play when he decides he's ready. With something like a groin injury, it's 100% his call. |

Yeah, it's most likely a grade 2. Groin strains are hard to judge. The recovery period could last a couple of weeks or a few months. It depends on whether the person is still feeling pain, feels strength in the leg and can move it normally. |

Running is part of the recovery process for a groin injury. Because someone is able to jog, that doesn't mean that they're able to play full court NBA basketball with all the cuts and moves that are required.
In addition to any medical scans, recovery from a groin injury is determined by the players lack of pain, leg strength, and ability to move the leg in different directions.
The fact that lebron is running is a good sign. But how hes performing on tests of functional basketball skills is just as important. If he cant make certain moves without pain, it doesnt matter that he can run forward in a straight line

I mean, it seems like you're looking really really hard to find some sort of conspiracy when, in reality, it sounds like LeBron is going through a fairly standard medical regimen for this type of injury. The time frames people are talking about are pretty standard as well |
We’ll see, I still think LeBron can play right now but the Lakers want the young players to learn how to win without there best player. |
