1 ring with this type of MVP season = jersey retired
2 rings+ = both 6 & 23 retired

The video of Lebron working with Penberthy.

Penberthy put on some lbs.

If he played at least 7 years here in his prime (or like this year), then his jersey goes up without needing a ring.

Hopefully not. But with Jeanie, who knows.

Yeah, Jeanie will retire his jersey regardless because she's looking at it from the publicity and merchandising angle. Hell, at least he played for our team, unlike when Riles retired MJ's #23 for the Heat.

Love your thinking! I expect AD to stay with Lakers long term, eventually have that #23 AD jersey in the rafters, along with LAbron #6.

Bronny already chalked up 5 assists in the 1st Quarter today.

Referees treat him like a rookie, it's really hard to watch at times. And it has gotten even worse since Vogel went vocal about the issue. They are clearly trying to prove a point. Makes you wonder what exactly it is about James/the Lakers that could have prompted such behavior.

Someone here said AD was leading the team in points, rebounds, blocks, steals and FT%...if that’s true, how do you justify LeBron as MVP over him?

Word on the street is Lebron and AD both Under the weather tonight. Check right after first paragraph in article below

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28206998/lofty-realistic-goals-focus-win-streak-ends-10?platform=amp

Perhaps it’s okay to use this as excuse for loss today.

Eh, it took a Howard foul to beat the Mavs in Dallas, I think that we just don’t match up well with athletic teams that can shoot the 3 pointer.

Is Dallas really athletic though? Luka/THJ/DFS/Porky/Powell. I mean, their two main guys aren’t really athletic (yes I’m aware they are athletes).

I do agree they are a bad matchup for us but I’m not sure that is because of their athleticism more than personnel. Our weakness tends to be dribble penetrating lead guards to me.

Ugh...nice reply.
I’m open to hearing why you would think different, if those numbers are accurate. (Don’t know if they are, just going by what another poster claimed)

It seems like exactly the type of question a LeBron James Thread would invite, yes?

Our weakness today and in many games is our bench. The Mavs bench is solid, something that you can get away with when your top players are young and one is being paid nothing. It is obviously more difficult when your top players are a 7 year max and a 10 year max. The Mavs have some tradable contracts, if Cuban decides to go for it, they might make some noise in the playoffs.

And yes, I think that Luka is athletic.

Instead of relying on what "someone said," I would tell you to look at the stats yourself and if they move you to make a case to justify why AD should be MVP over Lebron go ahead. If they don't, this is all pretty pointless.

Just asked a question. Not trying to make an argument. There’s a difference.
Assuming those numbers are accurate, I was curious why fans wouldn’t have AD as MVP of this squad and therefore the league.
Where am I going astray exactly?

You are going astray by trying to start a discussion about statistics you haven't look at.

Just use some common sense while watching the game and u don't have to ask this question on an online forum on why lbj is mvp over Davis

I thought stats were king. That’s what many here say.
I would certainly think LBJ is the more important player, but if AD leads in all those previously mentioned categories then maybe I’m missing something

Dude, I’m not the gatekeeper here...just asked a hypothetical about stats another poster mentioned in the AD thread.
Calm down
