Let LeBron take another day off. We don't need him to beat Memphis.

YES!

His groin is obviously still hampering him. Please no fine, NBA

Seriously. We're 7 games in front of the #2 seed. We should rest Davis too tbh, sore elbow. Get Kieff and Kuz more playing time. Cook/Daniels/Dud too

Even if we do need him to win he needs to let that groin improve

As much as I want him to rest, I trust his judgement. People can question his position in the all time top 10, but he's the GOAT of durability.

Thought it was funny during a possession in the 2nd half....Zion tried to back Lebron down and he couldn’t budge him. Ended up getting stripped by Lebron and Zion fell to the ground haha

Not bad for a 35 years old... Geez it still mind boggling what he’s doing at his age.

I’m loving post up Lebron.

Phil Handy and Lebron is a crazy combination. It’s also our answer to the guys that can defend Lebron on the perimeter. He can beat anyone in the post. Too strong for the smaller opponents, too fast for bigger opponents and he is the best passer out of the post.

We are going to need AD to adjust to this. Space out for 3 and cut to the rim when he sees the advantage. It’s not that AD shouldn’t post up, but I wouldn’t do it as frequently as they have in some of the games. Some of the elite teams have given AD problems in the post where he gets stripped or turnover on bad pass. He’s better facing up and attacking.

Think about that and the fact that LeBron has already played about 1000 more minutes (regular and post season) than Kobe. So yeah, mind-boggling.

My prediction was that LBJ would be a top 5 MVP candidate this year.

I think he's #2 behind Giannis. Not bad for a bigger Mark Jackson.

The difference between LeBron and just about any other post player in the NBA is that LeBron can’t be doubled because of his incomparable court vision and ability to throw cross court bullets to shooters in space. Like even if a weakside corner defender cheats towards the paint, he will hurl a pass to the shooter that the defender left with enough velocity that the defender can’t contest it in time. And as Zach Lowe wrote in his recent article, you also can’t even load up against him when there’s a conventional big on the floor with him, because he’s also the best in the game at just throwing the lob to the big right over the defense. So essentially teams have to play him straight up or hope that one of his teammates misses an open shot.

For sure, but I also think his physical talents make him a tough matchup for anyone. He’s too big for a Josh Hart or Holiday and he’s too quick for a Millsap or Jokic.

Yep, crazy to think that the only thing preventing him from getting his 5th MVP is a complete outlier of a season by Giannis. 32+ PER is absurd.

And Giannis is 25 compared to a 35 year old LBJ. Pretty phenomenal stuff. LBJ is ramping up for a long playoff run. Will be exciting to see.
