Just watched the highlights of last night's game. Bayless will have a field day with that missed layup to tie.

No one is going to be more critical of that miss then James himself. He knows more then anyone that he “ has” to make that layup.

The team let a winnable game get away. James understands they missed a great opportunity to gain some ground on the HCA race.

Plenty of things to focus on during that entire game (especially the final 3 mins) that were just as frustrating as that miss.

Does that mean they plan to suspend games going forward and continue them at a later date?

Yep...They would hit pause on the season or play games in front of empty seats. Considering the NBA is a business, I believe they going to hit pause for the interim.

hmmm... we’d stand to benefit the most from a hiatus, considering our star is 35 with nearly 60,000 minutes.

Depends on how long the hiatus is. If it's a hiatus that stretches for months, we risk not getting enough rest before the next season.

The number of games will probably be reduced like what happened a few years ago with the strike

This might be good for Lebron

Lebron James response to NBA suspension of season

Man we cancelling sporting events, school, office work, etc etc. What we really need to cancel is 2020! 🤦🏾‍♂️. Damn it’s been a rough 3 months. God bless and stay safe🙏🏾

They're not going to cancel the season. It would wreak havoc on the BRI and the cap would drop to something like 60m next year. Players union/NBA will want to extend the season and they'd worry about the next season when it happens (i.e. delayed start, maybe start in December on a compacted season).

Not necessarily. Now, obviously, teams and players are going to suffer from the lost revenue this season. Both sides will share in the lost money this season

However, there is no reason the NBA and players union couldn't agree to revise the formula of determining the cap for an upcoming season based on the revenues of the previous season because of the impact of the virus.

Whether they cancel the season completely would depend on things we don't know: the degree to which the virus spreads; evaluation of the risk as we gain more information; government restrictions. Anyone who thinks they know exactly what is going to happen is just deluding themselves,

I like the idea of playing this season if/when things calm down, and then as you said doing a delayed start and maybe a 60 game season next year. Honestly, the NBA should start on Xmas every year.

What do you mean we sort of get back into it? After Kobe? We’ve been in it all season otherwise

Lol I don't understand why people are misinterpreting that part of his tweet so badly. He wasn't saying the season should be canceled. He was being hyperbolic about the year 2020 because it's been nothing but one devastating event after the next.

And btw, the no playoff streak already ended when they beat the Bucks.
