I want him to come, but yeah, it's nothing. Super star vets love to part wisdom and be "big brother." It feeds their ego. That was one of the reasons Shaq and Kobe didn't get along. Kobe was like "thanks, but no thanks. I don't need a big brother."

Yeah Kyrie didn't want any part of that little brother stuff either.
As for LeBron that is just something he always does...create a little drama and buzz over nothing. He had those Knick fans salivating for two years and then chose Miami in 2010.

Even if your marvelous theory is correct, it is still a longshot for us to make the playoffs.

And can these rookie season make shots consistently? . Are their bodies ready for the wear and tear? Or will LJ have to do the heavy lifting at he end of his career? Only making the playoffs couldn't mean players on other teams got hurt, did not step up, etc. etc.. Le Ron can say whatever he pleases but he want to pass Jordan and if the Lakers are years behind, the Rockets or someone else will take him ...

Even if you are right, I gotta think the NBA is Impressed by the Lakers resilience of playing hard, that's how you become winners, players see it.

You become winners by winning. I don’t blame the players, 30 wins would be a good season and we might get there. We are a couple of years from being attractive to FAs.

And the Lakers continue to take the bait.

Free agency will always leak supposed rumors of Lakers involvement.

We wait by the phone and prom comes and goes.
We're still waiting

Lebron likes to leave bread crumbs, like he did when going back to CLE. But he also loves to troll the media and make people talk about stuff. I feel this is a big time troll.

Byron Scott thinks LeBron James to the Lakers is a good 50-50 shot.

http://www.tmz.com/2017/12/26/byron-scott-lebron-james-lakers-odds/

But he also said back in 2010 when he got the Cavs coaching job that LeBron was staying in Cleveland, oops.

So he’s either coming or not coming to LA.

LOL. LeBron is not coming to a team he would need to carry
at his age.

I rather like the PG pickup and not break up the the young, just keep
adding.

He's LeBron, he'd carry every team you put him on.

Question is whether he likes the help around him enough: if it's George, Noel, Lonzo, BI, Kuzma, Nance, Hart + veteran shooters, maybe he will. I mean, I'd like that better than what he's got in Cleveland.

Agreed. The only reason he left his beloved Cleveland was because he had two All-NBA players in their prime to play with in Miami. He came back as soon as they got old. He'll stay with the Cavs unless another no-brainer opportunity like that presents itself again.

I think lebrons next contract is a full max in Cleveland that’ll take him into retirement. He’s too damn old to keep trying these 1+1 deals and holding Cleveland hostage. He’s just going to sign there and ride off into the sunset imo, I think he’s tired of trying to keep up with golden state and knows his only chance would be to team up in Houston but then his legacy would always be the ring chaser who made super teams to win. Just stay in Cleveland and further cement his legacy there, that’s the move I’d make at that age. The only way he’d come to LA would be to further his business interests, rings would be put on the back burner because he knows we’re still a ways off and he can’t carry teams like he used to, so he wouldn’t come here to contend, he’d come for personal gains.
