Didn’t like LeBron taking that charge. Has to preserve himself for the playoffs.

Great game but the mins are a tad too high for me.

Vogel would be smart to use THT to absorb some of that wear and tear.

When the F did this guy get so good with Dirk's one legged fadeaways? Now he just added a hook shot?!

I'm convinced this dude was built in a lab.

We should also limit that wear and tear by giving Kuz more minutes. He played only 26 minutes tonight.

Why not give Kuz 30+ minutes a game until AD returns?

Vogel is making sure Kuz doesn’t turn back into a pumpkin.

And just like that, Lebron went from 90+ percentile three point shooter to back to career average. Boy that was fun while it lasted.

Rough night scoring wise but he ended up a +11. Created several open looks in the 2nd half and just ran a better oiled offense.

He got no benefit of the doubt from refs today. He got hammered a couple times with no call, at least in comparison to some of the weak ass whistles Jimmy got on our home court. With DS out, our other guards are getting exposed as being completely unable to do anything for themselves on offense and Lebron has to do literally everything for us on that end. Even though I rage at times about his lazy defense, I honestly can’t blame him given how much he has to do on offense.

I would sit him against the jazz and the suns. Also the game before all star game so he could make up an injury to sit out the entire all star weekend

Looking like a player with 18 seasons under his belt. His lift and explosion is almost non existent right now. He shouldn’t be playing all these minutes but we have no choice unfortunately

We had the choice of just sitting him and just concede the game. Instead, we played him 37 minutes and still ended up with a loss. I'm not surprised one bit at Lebron's "subpar" performance. In fact, I'd actually be very surprised if he'd put on another great performance.

I think we should rest Lebron again against Utah and just concede that game. I go for the long haul. I'm already thinking about how and how many minutes Lebron and AD should be playing in the playoffs. These regular season games have little significance. We'll be ok as long as we keep beating up all the bottom feeder teams which we have been excellent at so far this year.

You mean all those “bottom feeders” that push the Lakers to overtime games?

The Lakers are in a tough spot. Not a lot of options when the team is built around two superstars and complimentary players. Then add the only other PG Schroder now out.

Maybe shooting less 3s and not turning over the ball would be a good start for both James and the team overall. Playing some active defense to avoid big deficits and needing to battle back uphill all game.

I get the desire to “rest James” but I’m not sure the Lakers have that luxury. Team is not built to play without him. And conceding games is a risky game to play.

Adversity is here! Going to be interesting to see how the coaches and players react as they adjust. It is not going to get any easier as the season progresses.

This isn’t on LBJ. We lose 10 in a row without him. We are overextending him and the role players haven’t stepped up at all.

This lebron holding the ball until 5 seconds or less got to stop.
Teams are not going to pay attention to any other players. We had no plays ran out there in the OT

Going 2-10 from 3pt and 8 turnovers killed them tonight.

Last five games : 5-33 3pt and 19 turnovers.

Why keep jacking up 3s? Team shot 44 tonight. Maybe try another approach?

If you watch lebron through out his career, he struggles without shooters around him, and lakers are ice cold from the 3 recently(KCP is getting hotter).
Lebron is not a great iso type player, so it is either drive to the basket or 3. I hope he can work more on that fade away shot, it looked good in short spurts

James is a big part of that “cold” 3 pt shooting though. He takes the most and some are just inefficient for no particular reason. Off balance, logo shots and fade aways are simply bad shot selection.

Yeah, because he has no other weapons besides taking those late close long 3s, and since he was so tired every game, we really shouldn’t expect him to go to the basket all the time. Bad FT shooting , bad. TOsand 3 point shooting are probably consequences of being too tired

I’m one of his biggest supporters here but been frustrated at him in the last couple games. Winning both games would have been huge and would have gave us a much needed cushion because it’s not looking good next 5 games.
