LeBron’s oldest son will be in high school next year, and he seemingly has a shot of making it into the league. I can't imagine that now would be the point in LeBron’s career where he would choose to live away from him. How he develops as a player the next few years will be crucial. Not to mention that he's becoming a young man now. He needs his father. |

Probably the same way Ball would look if Lebron came here. | Ball at least tries to shoot threes, and he hit 31% on 1.7 out of 5.7 per game. Ball's usage was 17% compared to 23% for Simmons. Plus, Lebron wants to start playing more off the ball anyway. |

But as the two rosters currently stand, the Lakers with George would be more talented with much more upside than the Cavs and it would be among the top 4-5 rosters in the league from day one. |
Windy hates our young guys- 47 wins, 4th seed and a second round exit with Lebron and PG according to him.
Deep down, he knows Lebron is coming here, but as a lifelong Cavs fan, he doesn’t want to accept it. |
Did he actually say that? What a dumbass. |

LeBron should have never played all 82 games this year. It was a great accomplishment but now he's paying for it in the playoffs. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Maybe it was when Lebron was seen working out there last offseason? |
I could be wrong, but it sounds like kentu_tiro is referring to something a little more recent. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."

Theoretically, if LeBron signs his last contract at 5 years with the Lakers, and if he decides to play until he's 39, he could potentially play in the league at the same time as his son, assuming Lil' Bronnie plays a year of college. If he isn't good enough to get drafted (however, he does seem to have some talent), I'm sure LeBron could pull strings for the Lakers to sign him as an undrafted free agent.
I'm not saying this is the only reason LeBron would come to LA, but LeBron has tossed that idea around recently. And if he wants to stay closely involved in his son's development, playing for the Lakers while Lil' Bronnie plays for an LA-area high school is the way to go. |

Probably the same way Ball would look if Lebron came here. |
How so? Simmons and Ball are pretty different.
Lonzo is a willing (if only semi-capable) 3 point shooter, whereas Simmons doesn't even try.
Lonzo has been well-trained to not let the ball stick to his hands for very long. Simmons, while not a ballhog by any means, is a higher-usage player and plays closer to the rim than Lonzo.
Personally, I think both players would be thrilled to play with Lebron, and both will look just fine. But Lonzo would be a better fit. Simmons would do just fine, though, because of his unique capabilities for his size. |
How do? They would both be secondary initiators. |
Yes they would - and they would probably be willing 2nd initiators as well, given who they would be ceding the primary role to. Both are big for their positions and able to play off the ball (although, again, Lonzo is more able to do so because of his willingness to shoot threes).
It's a problem either team would be happy to have. The players in question are each 13 or so years younger than Lebron, and their times to be primary initiator would come again, while still in their early 20s. |

Why the heck do people think we're the destination for James if he leaves Cleveland? Philly is the leading contender, he stays in the East and gets a trip to the Finals for the next 4 years and only has to deal with Houston or Golden State in the finals once, instead of having to go through them to MAKE the finals.
This season with no "Kyrie" is likely giving LeBron perspective on his career going forward. He's not forming a "Super team" without a "Kyrie" on that roster, and I'm sorry tell you, but George would be the "Kevin Love" not the "Kyrie Irving", which is why Philly is the lead destination if he left Cleveland.
And that's fine. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I'll say it yet again man: Joel Embiid's health is a major question mark. He had injury questions in college, which is why he slipped in the draft to begin with. He didn't play a minute for not just his first season, but his second as well. He played less than half the games in his 3rd season. This past season, he got through the season, but was babied to the point where his minutes were kept down, and he didn't play b2b sets until later in the year. You saw him absolutely gassed at the end of playoff games, also. His health questions are not going away; the history of 7+ foot big men with foot injuries is not pretty, as Bill Simmons himself begrudgingly chronicles in that article in The Ringer where he handicaps where he thinks LeBron may go. The fact is that if LeBron goes there, he's making a bet on Embiid's health. And before anyone says this, talking about Lonzo and Ingram missing games this season is not the same thing; they aren't 7+ feet centers with foot issues.
If Embiid were a picture of health, they would be the favorite. And look, maybe LeBron will figure that he has to take the upside swing and that it's the only way he can beat the Warriors. I have no idea. But it's an issue. |

Because it's not that cut and dried for LeBron James this time around. If all he wants is an easy path to the finals, then yes, he'll stay in the east. But LeBron is envisioning something much, much bigger than basketball with his next move and it was decided last year. LeBron and PG13 will be Lakers this summer. You shall see. |

You won’t call him that when he leads us to 2-3 titles |
So you think a 35 year old end of his career James will lead us to the same amount of titles that’s he’s accumulated through his whole 15 year career in the east building super teams? I’d be willing to bet that lebron doesn’t win another title. The rest of the talent in the league has caught up and lebron is just going to be less effective as he continues to age.
