I think it's implied that if we land Kyrie, we reject Lebron next year. This alone would make it tough for Magic to move. |
Which would be the most idiotic move ever. No one in their right mind would choose Kyrie over LeBron even though LeBron's in the fourth quarter. A Lonzo-Kyrie backcourt would hardly seem like a match made in heaven anyways. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. I might choose Kyrie over Lebron depending on the various FA permutations and what we're looking to do with the kids, based on fit and consideration of the future beyond the next 2-3 years. I'm beating a dead horse but I'm seriously concerned Lebron would demand trades of the kids for all stars that walk or handcuff us when he retires, and that Magic would cave. |

More: LeBron intends to let the Cavs front office and owner Dan Gilbert take the lead with Kyrie Irving's demands.

Wow. I'd love to get LeBron a year earlier for almost nothing. These teams never get equal value back anymore.

Lebron is leaving, Kyrie unwilling to play for a Cavs team with nothing to show for Lebron leaving. Forcing them to trade Lebron for pieces to support him, or trade himself to a better place. Genius move by Kyrie's camp. |

This is going to get wild.
I can't see LeBron playing out this season, one of his last remaining elite seasons, on a Kyrie-less Cavaliers team that has no hope at winning a title.
Something's got to give there. |

Kyrie is a horrible defender. I don't want him on the team. Lonzo and Casey P are better than Kyrie and Lonzo. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

Quote: | LeBron James won't intervene in Kyrie Irving's push for trade. James intends to let the Cleveland Cavaliers front office and owner Dan Gilbert take the lead in dealing with Irving's trade demands, sources told
Irving did talk about the meeting to several other teammates, a league source told ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
As the Cavs consider their options, sources said James has expressed to the team that he is solely focused on his offseason workout regimen and is planning to report to training camp with the intention of leading his teammates to the finals - no matter who those teammates are. |

Can we just keep Ingram and Ball? We can field our offers, but please don't include those two. |

Lol don't trade for Kyrie. Dude played with one of the greatest players of all time whom masked his deficiencies on court. Kyrie has done nothing to warrant he is a franchise changer, he's a 2nd tier star at best. |

that's just dumb, why trade for LBJ this season when we can sign him straight up along with George.
lakers with LBJ and Ball this year probably won't make the playoffs in the west this season |

I'm saying we shouldn't trade several key young players for someone that's a free agent next year.

Just trade him again in a year. He'll still net a nice return. The key the dumping Deng, and then flipping whatever free money is left for something useful. Lebron should like that.

LeBron has a NTC so maybe if we did trade for him, we wouldn't have to give up a lot? |

In a heart beat. |
Take a few more heartbeats to think that over |
Future pick doesn't matter, as it will be high.
Ingram has potential, and clarkson is a nice player.
But getting Lebron changes the dynamic of the West and our team.
If you want to swap Ingram for Randle, that's fine. But I'd rather keep the big in this scenario. _________________ Dominating every day.

Good one, but I hope some how we're a dark horse, but I doubt it. I really, really, really like Kyrie. |
He's a good player, but a ball hogging ISO player. He's best suited being a #2 option and closing out games. Not having his own team. _________________ Dominating every day. |
