Terrible. |
Why? Lebron is old. BI is the future. |
I'm saying we shouldn't trade several key young players for someone that's a free agent next year. |
I'm with you 77! I don't want to trade BI or Kuz. Clarkson, Brewer or Randle. Fine with me. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

So Kyrie wants a trade because he wants to be a #1 and doesn't want to play with Lebron? So he's tired of going to the Finals and would rather be like Westbrook and put up numbers on a middling playoff team?
I mean he put up 25 a game this year. Kobe is his guy though, I guess he's pulling a 2004 Kobe. |
He's probably saying he wants to be traded so they can trade Lebron instead and build around him. It's a lot easier than saying "hey, trade Lebron" |
I hadn't thought about that but it's a very very good point especially with all the rumors surrounding LeBrons free agency next summer. |
They have nothing to build with because they're locked in to contracts of guys built around Lebron. He'd be wasting at least two years of his career waiting for them to have the assets to rebuild. |
Trading Lebron(even for just one year) brings in a ton of assets. |

Let me help ya with this... | of course that would be if ideal, but the Cavs hang up the phone on us man, come on....i love both Ingram and especially Kuzma and it would hurt to trade them, but I'm just saying worse scenario that might be would it takes. |

LeBron will be a Laker. Accept it. He will be our generation's Wilt Chaimberlin. If you do not want LeBron on the Lakers then you're more of a fan of Kobe's legacy than you are a fan of the Lakers. |

I think it's pretty much set in stone the LeBron is coming here after next season. Cavs imploded. Imagine Ingram, LbJ and George on the wings defensively and then on the break!!!!! Ohhh weeeeee |

Woj just said Kyrie doesn't know or believe if LeBron will stay in Cleveland, so he's being proactive for his own career. _________________

What kind of legacy would Lebron have when he just team hopping in attempt to win chips? I know he is the best player on all the teams, but he can't win alone. |

Who is really going to care that he played on multiple teams outside of the Cleveland fanbase? He's probably going to retire having been to 10+ NBA Finals and maybe another ring or two; he will be top 5 in a number of categories, will retire with ridiculous career averages, etc. His team jumping will become a debate amongst some NBA purists, but his legacy is already well cemented. |

Lots of players are alphas. Cleveland has been in 3 consecutive Finals yet Kyrie is ready to move on so he can spread his wings. He wants to prove he can win as the man, and I don't think that's uncommon among the super-talented. Right now GSW is on top of the heap, but under current rules, things seem to typically fall apart for super teams at the 5 year mark for whatever reason. I wouldn't be surprised if they win or fail to next season, if Klay leaves as well. Klay would be a freakin' dream on this Lakers team...will he be truly happy playing 3rd option on GSW for the length of his prime years? He's good enough to be a super-elite 2nd option on just about any team. That's why it's good to have options with your roster and contract management. You never know when the opportunity will present itself. |

I'm waiting on the LDG bomb: "LeBron has just informed Dan Gilbert to his face that he intends to opt out of his contract after next season and doesn't intend to return. I'm really surprised I haven't seen one national media member bring up the idea of trading Lebron. I know he's Lebron, but you're going to trade away a 25 year old superstar? If you're the Cavs, you ask Lebron if he'll commit beyond this season, he'll say no, and then you trade him wherever for whatever you can get. Otherwise you trade Kyrie this summer, Lebron walks next summer, and you lose both.
Maybe there's more to the Kyrie thing (he hates Dan Gilbert, hates Cleveland, etc.), but I think you gotta consider it. |

OK, so imagine LeBron tells Gilbert:
(1) I am definitely leaving after this season to the Lakers
(2) I will only waive my no-trade clause if you send me to the Lakers
What is the most you would give up to get LeBron to the Lakers today instead of waiting until 2018?
I would give up anything (including future draft picks) that doesn't involve Ball, Ingram, or Kuzma. I would hate to give up one of those three, but could perhaps be persuaded.
What would YOU be willing to give up? |

Magic man is hitting the phones right now! He is going Lebronzo!
We will keep Ball and Ingram and get rid of Deng to match contracts. We will send out Randle (unfortunately) and the 2020 first round!
Imagine how cool would it be to a have a Lakers Reloaded team with Ball, KFC (Casey), Ingram, Lebron and Lopez!
Gary Lance, Kuzma, and D Rose of the bench! |

LeBron has a no-trade clause. So he would have to agree to any trade. |

I don't think Magic and Rob trade anything especially without Lebron signing an extension _________________ "Tryin' to get that Kobe number, One Over Jordan"

I think their thinking is, lets see what we can get for Kyrie and see if the players will mesh will Bron and if they don't move Bron at the deadline if he waives his NTC. _________________ I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying. |

Sure, but the idea is you're either going to lose:
a) Kyrie
b) Lebron
c) Kyrie and Lebron
Right now everyone is choosing A. If they trade Kyrie, C is very likely. Kyrie's under contract for 2 more year and wants to be the #1, trading Lebron accomplishes that. Of course that takes into account Lebron may leave next summer for nothing anyway. At least by trading him now (for admittedly half pennies), they theoretically make Kyrie happy and keep him. But like I said, there may be more to it than just wanting to be a #1 and not wanting to play Lebron anymore. |
