Really?
Jerry, you leveraged the Lakers status/location to sign players in an era that was far easier to do so. When small markets were oblivion, unlike today.
That means your whole FO career with the Lakers was “easy”.... |

I don't think it was difficult either. I've got a close friend that told me in the middle of last season that lebron wants to come to the Lakers. He said he couldn't tell me who he got the info from, but he said it was a done deal. |

even if this is true, it doesnt discredit the work it take to make it a done deal in the middle of last season. fact is one way or another, Magic was able to get lebron james here. does that make him better than Jerry West? that is not a debate i care for right now but West coming out and saying that shows bitterness in my opinion. I used to be so upset with why Lakers didn't hire West as a consultant but I see now very clearly. Magic probably knew if West was here, he would have somehow gotten all the credit for getting LeBron even though you don't need to consult with anyone when the decision is do we go after LeBron or not. _________________ r27

West is just bitter that the Lakers didn’t bring him back, and he shouldn’t act like the Clippers weren’t after LeBron because they were and they got spurned cause the Clippers lack the credibility. |

And I'm sure Shaq coming to the Lakers had nothing to do with him being drawn by the market and spotlight of LA, plus the nightlife and proximity to Hollywood - yup, that must've been the toughest recruitment ever, but Jerry somehow pulled through. C'mon, Logo |

Full squats are hard on the back and knees, and frankly the half squats iars where you get explosiveness from the quads.
He is doing exactly what he should. |
Real question is: who's filming? |

There were reports before Shaq was even drafted his agent could try to force his way to LA. _________________ SHOWTIME FOREVER (118 of 187 Playoff Games) |

His trainer is Donnie Raimon (guy in the vid). He’s a top notch trainer/Biomechanicist, the guy is in the great hands and doing exactly what he should be doing. |

Im not a fan of that labeling.
I'm a Kobe fan. And i'm glad LeBron is here.

I don’t know who the vandals were, but they’re the absolute scum of the Earth and an albatross on our fan base, if you can even consider them that. These people have no sense of reality, as anybody who takes time out of their day to graffiti over a mural of a basketball player is as low life as it gets. You can like and dislike whoever you want, it’s called free speech and freedom of expression. But when you go so far as to vandalize someone’s business and deface an individual’s work of art that they spent their time and effort creating, you belong in a cage with the rest of the uncivilized heathens.

If I was going to buy a Laker jersey right now (and of course L.A. Bron is the obvious choice) I would buy a Rondo.
I can't believe I am saying that as an avowed Celtic hater but I have always admired this guy's fight and winning spirit. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

When Magic took over there were no draft picks or cap space. We didn't have Kuz or Hart or Zo or Svi. BI was looking like a bust and player development was in shambles by evidence of JCs regression and how Jules and DLo were floundering. Creating the space without having to give up BI was excellent work. Any insinuation that this was an easy job, even from a legend, doesn't take into account the massive amount of wheeling and dealing Magic & Rob had to do to repair the runway for his landing in only 17 months and still retain the core4 so we can take that step into the top 3 teams in the west by his 2nd full year at the helm...coming off 17 and then 21 wins.
Jerry is sticking up for Mitch and Jim and it's not a good look. _________________ "This game's in the refrigerator. The door is closed, the lights are out. the eggs are coolin', the butter's gettin' hard and the jello's jigglin'."
