Generally, Bron doesn't move to the west unless it's a top3 team (55 wins).

BUT, clippers are interesting. They have the pieces to rebuild asap, Jerry West and CP3.

Also the owner is stacked with cash to pay him well through to retirement while they promote their new stadium. This is huge for Ballmer. Lebron probably shortens the payback period in half with attendance and new ticket price levels.

If Jerry has a plan to really compete for these few years, I'm sure lebron wants a healthy retirement contract opportunity with his next and final move.

They might even have a statue out front within the first decade.

Logo can't do much without draft picks to work with...

CP3 is 32 and might not even be a Clipper when the season starts. Not to mention that his playing style conflicts with LeBron's just as much if not WORSE than Wade's did. CP3 and Bron aren't in their primes to make up for the less than perfect fit like Wade and Bron were able to.

who needs picks if west has a plan that doesn't include everyone not named bron/cp3... still blake and jordan. blake can net you someone that fits better plus picks. Same for d'andre.

i'm not saying they would be enough or cp3 is my choice. But reality is, to get lebron you keep cp3.

oh stop it. like we're such hot **** now. i don't like lebron as a person, but i'd take him on my team any day.

trying to act all high and mighty when we've had like 60 wins combined the last 3 years.

Lebron is coming to Lakers. PG and him have planned this out. Pretty easy to see with PG being adamant to come here.

I don't see why Lebron would do that. The man is obsessed with getting more rings and making his legacy greater.

Even a Lebron/PG led team with our rookies would not beat GS or maybe not even SAS if they are healthy.

Him and PG would have to babysit our young core for 3 years minimum before we are serious title contenders. And that's best case.

You are assuming that would be the make up of our team. In another year, our rookies will develop, Ingram should be a factor, and other players will join for cheap to play along side two superstars.

The same PG who doesn't talk with Lebron? CP3, Lebron and Melo.

This trade is all leading to Jerry West vs. Magic Johnson for LeBron’s services in 2018.

1 year deal only. He like them short anyway. Isn't he UFA in 2019 not 2018?

The only way I can see this working is if Lebron comes here for mid-level allowing the Lakers to pick up Boogie at max.

A team of Ingram, PG, Lebron and Boogie is possibly sparring-partner-worthy with GSW

LeBron would clash with West. I think West would actually quit if they got LeBron. All the stuff with his entourage and whatnot would annoy West to no end I think. I know he was able to co-exist with the wild excess of the showtime Lakers, but I think he's too old to want to deal with that now. Plus if they get Lebron they don't have anything for West to do.

As if Lebron would come to a team with anything less than TWO other All-Star caliber players. We can only afford one other max guy other than Bron even if we get rid of Randle, JC, and Deng.

Sigh, that's a scary thought. That would automatically make us the #2 team in LA.

It's risky but if the Lakers are focused on Bron then they should go for it...have to sacrifice BI or the number 2 to drop deng...then sign, bron, PG + 1 more elite FA

There has to be another way without giving up Ingram and the #2.

If Lebron actually comes, I'm gonna quit being a fan for the duration of his stay.

I do not admire him as a competitor and dislike his lack of loyalty.
