Just heard Lebron had a better 2 point field goal percentage in the playoffs than anyone ever. Something like 62 percent

Wow!

Other guys have shot better.

Lebron shot 65.5% from 2-point. I believe that was third this year.

Robert Williams of Boston shot 77% and our own Dwight Howard shot 69%. They had many fewer attempts than Lebron but enough to qualify, I believe.

There have probably been 30 or 40 guys who have beaten this mark in other years. I believe the all-time record is held by Chris Anderson who shot 81% from 2s when Miami won the ring in 2013.

Maybe they meant he had the all-time record from 2s based on a certain number of attempts or some framing like that.

That seems like a pretty high cutoff. I may be wrong, but I don't think 150 attempts is an official criteria from the NBA. But without question he shot. I just don't think it's an official record.

Remembering Wilt being DOMINATED by both Kareem and Russell back in the day, I can assure you he would not thrive in the modern game.

Wilt wasn't dominated by Russell and Kareem.

Russell teams were better and they usually won. But the Russell-Wilt matchup was about even. Same with Wilt and Kareem. Wilt's teams were 14-13 against Kareem's.

Wilt would still be a star today.

Wilt vs Russell

Wilt averaged 30/28 on 48% shooting in 94 regular season matches against Russell. Russell average 14 and 23 on 37%. Playoffs Wilt was at 26 ppg and 28 rpg vs about 15 and 25 for Russell.

Kareem vs Wilt was more like Wilt vs Russell, with Wilt being the Russell. Kareem was 32 and 16 vs 16 and 18 for Wilt. Playoffs Cap was 30 and 17 vs 16 and 19.

In both cases, I think it's fair to say that no one was shut down and everyone put up stupid numbers.

I remember what I saw, the 60's Celtics with Russell made Wilt look human in the finals. The championship losses were always a disappointment year after year. I liken the Lakers during the 60's to the Kings in the early 2000's, couldnt get over the hump.

Kareem towered over Wilt and Wilt couldnt get his patented goto fingerroll. You can stat all you want, history says Wilt couldnt put his mark on a game with someone his own size or bigger.

You think it's high? Steph Curry had comfortably more than 400 shot attempts in last years playoffs. Even Kuzma qualifies with over 170 shot attempts

Dodgers credit LeBron James for inspiring them to overcome 3-1 deficit, while Braves credit Clippers for inspiring them to blow a 3-1 lead, sources tell ESPN.

Paul Pierce: - “If they see LeBron standing in front of them, fear’s chasing. I know this. You know, my era is out of the league. We weren’t afraid of LeBron. These guys today, he strikes fear in these guys.”

So what someone did is compile a 9 minute video of Lebron v Pierce in single coverage
