I made the same mistake of reading that forum too... They are having a meltdown over the cyberx rumor about Lillard and the Lakers rumored deal. They think if we traded Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram, and 2 1sts that its still not enough

Lol they also said even if we get Bron and PG we would only the 3rd or 4th best team out West.

We wouldn't be better than the Warriors or Houston so at best they'd be correct.

In your opinion. We have no idea how it would play out.

The Lakers would be better than the Rockets IMO, especially if they add more shooting to the bench.

Even if he isn't, out young core with Lebron, and Pg od fire.

Randle
Zo
Ingram
Kuz
Hart

With Pg and Lebron is fire. And 25th pick. Smash Houston and Dreamshake

Rockets were by far the best reg season team this year. So we would not be better than them.

Rockets shot their shot. They will fall off bad this season.

Yeah, I think the wheels are going to fall off for CP3 soon, like it did for Nash when he got old.

I agree. I don't think he's done but he's had a tendency to get injured late in the season over the past few years. I wouldn't want to pay him a big contract.

what makes you think we wouldnt be as good as houston?

they have 3 guys that can shoot threes really well, ariza and tucker can hit an open 3. there's a difference. if we had lbj and pg. we would have multiple people we could throw at harden, cp3, or gordon.

defenders to stop a play or 2 if need be on those 3 named above: PG13, Lbj, Lonzo, Bi, Randle.

Randle and LBJ can play bully ball on offense. and tucker/capella can't stop it.

And unlike the rockets we would actually use 9 to 10 players so not to tire anyone out like MDA does with every team he has.

Speaking of money arguments "for" OKC, from PG's perspective he can't forget history. OKC's hatred of paying tax made them proactively deal Harden.

That was (mis)handled by OKC's previous administration. They have all-new ownership now so that won't factor into PG13's thinking at all.

Agree with the first part of your post. I’ve been saying that all year when people in this thread were saying he wasn’t leaving OKC.

As far as I know, Clay Bennet is still the man in charge as far as the ownership group. Same guy who had Harden traded instead of paying tax.

Then the same guy paying luxury tax for a couple of seasons.

And how does that change the fact that they dealt Harden because they didn't want to pay the lux tax ?

Or are you disputing that ?

It disputes the idea that they are the same management group. Not even close.

Personally I care about the actual title first, then maybe all that "who's the best player" stuff after.

1)Rings
2)who's better than who

Going to lose PG13.

I mean, if you're an OKC fan, why are you still rooting for a team that loses an all NBA level player every offseason for the past few years?

This is such a lame, bitter comment. Why are fans still fans? Really? Are you kidding me? How about Howard and Gasol walking away for nothing and rooting for a team that hasn't made the playoffs for the last five years and may not have a single future All-NBA player on its roster despite "earning" five top-10 picks, including three straight #2 picks?

They wouldn't have George without trading Oladipo, so your point is asinine and makes no sense.

I'm sure they're rooting for the still reigning MVP and future HOFer who keeps re-signing with their team while we're praying for Lebron to save the franchise for the third time in the past eight years.

My goodness. Woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something?

You're getting nearly as irritating as Judah these days is all.

Not sure why my post (which others have agreed with) set you off so much.

You've been sniping at so many posters here recently. Not sure what's going on.

Punch my card for the "Houston's not THAT good" club. Or rather, "Houston's a great regular season team! Talk to me when they reach the 2nd round..."

Regular-season MVP. Regular-season coach of the year. An incredible, tough point guard, yes, but is short & injury prone.

Give them all the regular season records & accolades. And then watch them flame out to a superior-coached team or extreme talent deeper into the playoffs.

If you wanna say they'll have a better record than a PG-LBJ team, sure. It will take time to gel and the way Houston plays, they'll dominate the lesser teams. But in a theoretical 2-3 matchup in the 2nd round, assuming the refs aren't buying Harden's bait, I'd take LA.

Yes, because a max contract is definitely what will sway George to stay with a treadmill team. The thunder offering George a max contract was already a given. No news here.

In that same quote, because I heard it live, he talked about how George's family all wanted him in LA. Max, in response, basically said the whole pull of Westbrook was meaningless. It's just more of the same. Maybe George does end up staying in OKC, but most out there still think he's a Laker. Nothing has really changed that and we don't have any more new info than we had a month or two ago.
