Now they're reporting he's going to do a 1+1 lol. They're all over the place.

They contradict themselves daily. This is getting laughable. It's so obvious that all of this is fake news. PG/Mintz/Magic/Pelinka trying to downplay tampering, OKC selling to the their fan base 'hey we tried', PG trying to maintain the romance with RW but not staying in stinky OKC.

That pretty much sums it up.

Yeah, it’s quite obvious. Oddsmakers had PG coming to LA as huge favorites. Everyone knew. Have to avoid tampering in all ways possible.

has anyone seen any recent odds on PG? I can't find anything on it.

I think PG will be the first shoe to drop so to speak. If he wants to be here, we get him... To me honestly that's preferable than trading for Kawai because we sign PG..we keep our young ballers. If Lebron wants to come with PG here.... he comes... If not I say we try to keep Julius, and look at the Center position for another upgrade... If neither PG or Lebron comes...then we bring Julius back and again, look at Cousins maybe..

we have options....

but trading Ingram and/or Kuzma for Leonard..to me that's not a good move... the guy is a free agent next year.... and to me PG without trading any youngsters is more valuable than Kawai and losing BI or Kuz…

We got what amounts to 3 lottery picks out of last years draft...adding that to Brandon Ingram.... All the years the Sixers were in the process and look how long it took to end up with just 2 young stars.. It's major for us to have as many young talented players as we have right now, and we can add to that without losing any of them....

That's gonna be the best move

I saw the headline in the title update and knew what it basically said before I read it. I'm gonna be glad for the draft for a change of pace.

I'm thinking it's better to get our 2 big max players to play with our young core than gut the team to try for 3 max players and get a bunch of scrubs..

The Lakers FO will choose Lebron over him and then PG is left with re-signing with OKC for whatever term or a different team altogether. If he makes it known publicly right now that the Lakers are his choice and circumstances prevent it from happening, then he's stuck in a sub-optimal situation. The right play is to let speculation occur. And if he truly does want to stay in OKC, he has zero to lose by just saying OKC is the place for him. But he hasn't. He's stayed silent. He can't really do anything until he gets an official formal offer from a team like the Lakers. You can't accept a job if the job hasn't been offered in a letter yet.
Interesting take. Smart for him to keep the Laker talk down until this unfolds.

Prob but KL makes about $20mil? and we have to send out $ close to it meaning Deng has to be included (3rd team/picks and what not)... so if we do get KL and LBJ signs for the max, we should still have money for PG and the choice is PG or Randle

Paul George: One and Done or One Plus One?Since last week’s newsletter itemabout the Thunder’s better-than-expected chances of retaining the All-Star forward Paul George in free agency, I’ve heard even more support around the league for the idea that Oklahoma City can really convince George to stay.No deal is done until it’s done, as they say, so there will be no tangible relief in O.K.C. until George officially spurns his hometown Los Angeles Lakers this summer to stay put alongside Russell Westbrook. Kevin Durant’s departure in 2016 is still too fresh — as is George’s well-chronicled interest to play in L.A. — for any premature celebrations.

But it has reached the point that potential contract scenarios are starting to circulate. More than one rival team has suggested to me that they expect George to strongly consider a two-year deal with the Thunder at $30.3 million next season and $32.7 million in 2019-20 that includes a player option to return to free agency next summer.

A full five-year deal with the Thunder would be worth a guaranteed $176 million, as my trusted Twitter salary cap consultant @AlbertNahmad reminds me, but the short-term option does come with several potential benefits. By signing what’s known as a “one-plus-one deal,” George would be giving himself more time to see how he likes Oklahoma City (and how the Thunder upgrade the roster) before making a longer commitment — while also locking in more than $60 million guaranteed as protection against another serious injury.

It's all conjecture. George may end up being convinced to stay in OKC, but nothing here does more than communicate third party opinions by people who have nothing to do with George himself. Also, the Lakers can offer George the same exact deal, which is partly why there really isnt any significant financial advantage for George to stay in OKC even excluding the increased endorsement money he is likely to receive as a Laker.

I'm wouldn't be shocked if PG thinks that maybe he can wait another year since the Lakers' cap space will still be around next summer.

I think if he does wait, good riddance. And LA Fans shouldn't chant they want him again this season, it'd be like that damn Stay Dwight billboard.

Right, because if he says he wants to come to the Lakers the penalties would be, non-existent.

No prop bets at all it seems online in regard to Paul George.

Kawhi prop bets were available as late as yesterday but seem to be gone now also.

Only when he has a sauce that makes the lakers a better team, otherwise he is still full of it.

"Yawn" and the suspense is growing!!!!

What is he basing this on? Where is this info coming from? That is an intimate detail that only PG would know and could verify. Did PG tell you that? No.

This stuff is getting out of hand.
