1. Clippers want to dump D. Jordan's salary fine, Lakers will take it, give you a 20ppg Center in return (Lopez) and throw in a future 2nd round pick.
2. Next, the Pacers ain't getting any better offers than Deng, Randle and the two 2017 First Rounds (#27 & #28).
3. After next season Lebron signs with the Lakers as they have freed up Cap money (dumping Deng & MosGov).
4. Since you can't have a veteran team coached by someone who is still a rookie coach and since Phil Jackson will have been fired, you bring him back to preach Defense and perhaps even the Triangle...
The (2018-2019) Lakers starting 5 look like this:
PG: Ball
SG: Ingram
SF: George
PF: LeBron
C: Jordan
Bring on the Warriors... |
Th biggest opponent is the salary cap. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

If most fans agree with Luke Walton that we are in no position to compete with the Warriors in the next season, having nice cap to sign great free agents in 2018 does not sound very bad. If Lonzo turns out to be a good pick, Lakers will have enough compensation for exchanging DLO and Mogov with another center whose contract expires in 2018 giving lakers with the cap needed.
While I am no fan of Lebron, the possibility of having Paul George, Lebron as free agents plus the young core of Ingram, Lonzo and the rest sounds a good paln for the Lakers. |
I'm not a huge fan of paying 38 year old Lebron over $40M dollars in 2022. |
