Randle doesn't fit. He's gone.

I agree. He's going to Indy + 27, 28.

They need a defensive PF.

Might make the 8th seed and get swept in the first round.

I'm sure that will attract quality FA's.

At least BLO will be gone next year. As long as they keep Lonzo and BI for the future and keep acquiring picks instead of trading them away we'll be fine.

The starting 5 might be good offensively if Ingram improves his shooting.

If we trade Julius we'll be the worst rebounding team in the league

This means more rebounds and triple doubles for Ball, who is a great rebounderr for a point guard. Black also provides rebounds off the bench. Nance and Ingram also would have to step up their rebounding.

If it is true that Indiana can choose between Randle and JC I believe they may take Julius so we are probably going with:

Ball/JC/Ennis?
JC/Nwaba
PGnn/Ingram/Brewer
Deng/Nance/Robinson
Lopez/Zubac/Black

That leave us thin at the SG position where we should eventually use Paul George giving Ingram more minutes.

We are going to miss Dlo and Lou scoring even if we are vastly improving the center and small forward positions, but we can potentially have better ball movement if Ball prove he can contribute early because Lopez is a good passer and Ball is more of a ball distributor than Russell.

We aren't fixing our shooting and defending this offseason and if Randle goes our rebounding takes a big hit as well.

I'm more excited about the 2018 lineup, fam

Russell Westbrook . Tyler Ennis
Lonzo Ball . Danny Green . David Nwaba
Paul George .
Brandon Ingram . Jonah Bolden
Ivica Zubac . Larry Nance

Lopez is a better shooter than any big we have, better post player and better rim protector. He is also very good moving the ball for a center.

If Randle is a better rebounder than most of our forwards (Robinson has better numbers than him), Deng/Nance are better defenders and possibly shooters and aren't far from him as rebounders. If we trade Julius for Paul George we are going to improve our shooting, defense and overall IQ.

Nobody knows how good they can be in five years, but right now Lopez > Russell and Paul George > Julius Randle.

Getting rid of an albatroz contract in the process was a good move.

-Lopez likely won't be here after this next season seeing as how the team wants to go after LeBron. He shot the ball at a nice level from 3 this past season, but he is a poor defender

-Nance was horrible defensively this past season and he doesn't change what I said about our rebound taking a hit since you would be subtracting our best rebounder for a poor one. Robinson has one foot in the NBA and Deng is washed up.

-Paul George can shoot, but the problem is the team's shooting as a whole and he has declined defensively.

In this scenario none of our bench players would be capable of shooting and the defense still wouldn't be all that great.
