Looks like Dwight's ol' coach Steve Clifford (from Orl/Lakers) will actually take a flyer on him. Well, it was nice knowing him as the former Hornets coach when he gets fired at some point in the upcoming season.

Scrubs for Howard. Oh how hard he has fallen. I don't feel any pity for him.

WOW!
Remember the "Stay D12" campaign?
Dude is a bum, so glad we never signed him to a lengthy contract.

I'm sure Hawks were excited about hearing Dwight practicing shootings 3 pointers.

Even MJ doesnt get fleeced in trades anymore. Dwight shoudlve listened to Kobe and embraced Tyson Chandler 2.0 role. He would've extended his career and still had some endorsements.

BTW, most popular FO everyone is lining up to trade with:
1. LAL
2. SAC

There's a bizarre symmetry between the Hornets trading for Dwight Howard and being the same franchise that traded away Kobe Bryant.

Dwight should've stayed in Orlando or at least stayed with SVG in some capacity he seemed to be the only one that got anything out of him.

Dwight is better at holding L's than he is holding the ball in the post.

Became trade filler for a higher draft pick....this guy was supposed to be a franchise player, instead he's become an NBA journeyman.

One year away from becoming the major bust ever in China, after he gets bought of his 2nd year by the Hornets.

wow, came here right away to find out who plumlee is and if Bellinelli has been killing it (don't follow the bobcats much).

Reading the comments here have me laughing. The pick improvement is just the cherry on top.

Hawks - "ok look, please agree. We'll improve your pick too ok?"
bobcats - "and courier us a bag of doritos?"

Man at this rate he's going to be out of the league in two years. What on earth happened?

He was sure still effective in 2013 with us. He wasn't Orlando Dwight, but he certainly wasn't the type of player you'd attached a HIGHER pick to in order to dump.

I know bigs usually go over the cliff at 32 but he's not even there yet. Wow.

This was where he should have always gone. Why he chose Atlanta I have no clue.
Dwight's messed up his career quite a bit.

However, Clifford is a really good coach.
It will be a good fit.
They've worked together for a long time and many times and they both seem to value each other.

Probem with Dwight is you literally have to use him the way he wants else it won't work. And not many teams right now play that way or want to have their bigs roll and fight for position down low as much, which are his main strengths.

However I think Clifford/Charlotte is one of the teams that do and the other team I think that would have worked well for him is Detroit.
