Is he going to turn down $200m+ from OKC? He seemed adamant about staying in OKC and being "loyal."

Now that KD has a ring He's going to want to join a team to take him down.

That's seems counter to WB's big rationale for staying in OKC.

not sure I like WB in a possible Lonzo/PG13/Ingram ecosystem.

Ball WB Ingram PG13 Lopez (if we can sign him to a smaller pay check)

that team looks scary good.

3×20 pt scores with Ball and Ingram

You're missing the point. WB is an ecosystem to himself. KD left him b/c of that. Last thing I want is WB wanting to be the Man at the expense of PG13/Ball/Ingram ecosystem.

I get what you're saying but if WB wants to go to LA ill personally pick him up and drive him myself

LOL. So you disregard KD leaving him, and WB's epic meltdown in the playoffs this year. He puts up numbers, but he isn't going to play in Luke's system.

What I'm picturing right now...
Lonzo lob to WB... FLUSH.

PG13/Lonzo/Ingram sadly standing at the line while WB takes on 4 defenders on a contested layup.

Yeah, no thanks.

2017 mvp

In the playoffs 37 11 11 with 51.1 ts%, I wouldn't consider that a meltdown.

Actually, it'll be... WB challenged a jump shooter and leaks out. Zo get the rebound and outlets to WB for the jam.

Ah, just getting his numbers. Gotcha. He drove the finals MVP KD away b/c of his selfish play.

A leopard cannot change his spots! :p

In another parallel universe, if we were able to get RW, would you want him?
Or would people be too sad that we gave up DLO to get RW a year later?

Again, in a parallel universe

Hey! WB is NO Kobe.
And he chased KD away!
And he'll leave PG and Ingram at the 3 point line while RW goes 1 on 4!

WB may have some questionable play and be a bit selfish, but he did average a triple double sooooo he can't be that selfish

Beside we wouldn't be bringing him into the PG/BI ecosystem

we'll be bringing him into the PG/Bron/Ball ecosystem

He needs to see a therapist if he does. Getting paid an obscene amount of money, put up historical numbers and compete for MVPs. He will have another contract to worry about a title. He can bandwagon with whoever then.

It's not the FO's dream, but a Lopez/George/Ingram/Bradley/Ball core could be a solid playoff squad while they wait on Ball and Ingram to develop.

Aw. Is that thread bad? Or was the 2007 plan bad?
I mean, we did win in 2009 and 2010.
So I'll take it.

Dude, I came immediately accepting the DLO trade. You're talking to the wrong guy.

We are transitioning from a perennial bottom 5 team to now trying to construct a championship team. Do you really want a 30 year old WB to be the center of a team that has unselfish players like Lonzo/Ingram/PG13? I don't. I'd rather have a 34 yo Lebron or other options.

(And I think WB is an amazing individual player. Less so when it comes to actual championship ball).

And that means what exactly?

Kobe to me, played winning basketball. Defense, co-existing (albeit tenuously) with Shaq and then elevating Pau/Odom/Bynum.

WB is a tremendous individual talent. He doesn't do the things that lead to championship ball, which is the hallmark of Kobe for me.
