We all know how devastating it was for OKC when they traded Harden (just to save some money). From NBA Finalists & possible dynasty, to never returning to the NBA Finals again. Harden has become one of the best players in he league and a multiple time MVP candidate.

Do you think the Lakers trading DLO will haunt us for years to come? Discuss if you'd like.

It might cost us Paul George (as his agent was not happy about the move). So it already did.

It'll go down as one of the worst trades in Lakers history. I'll leave it at that.

I know, and I selected the same. I could be wrong but based on the reactions yesterday, it could be an overwhelming "Yes".

Way to turn our leverage into a minus.

Too soon. Both teams could get what they want.

The worst signing in Lakers history followed by the worst trade in history so far.

Given that we were willing to make this trade, I don't want to think about what else is possible.

Not sure. It all depends on how the subsequent dominoes fall. If we whiff, then absolutely it's a problem. If we get someone like Westbrook and another good player in free agency, then it seems like the gamble worked. I just think the move was a bit premature. But let's see what happens.

Haha. Returning the favor I see. They aren't locking this poll because it's not one of your ridiculous threads. It's a valid question pertaining to general state of Lakers Nation after an unforeseen trade forever changed the course the team's future.

I still like you though!

Well in 2012, when the Harden trade was made, I would argue that DLO was a similar player to Harden at the time. Then Harden became a Superstar after the trade.

Question; how old were you in 2012?

Reminds me of the Caron Butler trade, in terms of value/young prospect given up versus what came in. Felt sick then because I thought Caron was going to be a integral part of our future (and he turned out to be a pretty good player overall), and feel even sicker now since we don't have a Kobe to make it all better.

Probably older than you but thank you for the constructive criticism. You are what makes the internet very special!

I mean look at Harden's first two years in the league. Then see his big jump in year 3.

Not sure

Yes, I have not heard this confirmed. Do you have a source?

Not now, but you never know. Even if he does turn out to be really good, we hopefully land who we want in free agency. Hopefully.

IF we still want PG next season, he'll be a Laker....JC could run the offense
until Ball gets up to speed. PG wants to come home and he will.
