Absolutely f!@#$ing loved that Kuz had the balls to hold the alleged 'leader' of this team accountable for not closing out on one of the best 3-point shooters in the league. You know Magic and Luke cannot hold Bron accountable for his lazy defense (defense is the number one reason we are as terrible as we are), but Kuz could and did, and it was caught on video for all to see. |
You do know that Kuz is also one of the worst defenders on the team, and teammates pushing each other on switches happens regularly? But of course the media wants to push the anti-Lakers/anti-LBJ agenda and we fall right for it. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Kuz a very good bench player on a good team. We need him for
that very same reason. Lakers can't keep throwing assets out the
window... _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

If Kuz doesn’t improve his defense, he’s going to turn into Melo without a post game. |

An NBA starter, which is not a bad thing.
Id be shocked if he was at an all star level for his career.
But again, to be a NBA starter is a good thing.
Get well soon! |
He’s a bench player on a good team |
Yes I agree, starter is a stretch. |
A bench player on a good team.
Does that mean he's not a starter on a bad team?
Let me ask it in a simpler way:
As he progresses, in about a couple of years, just knowing what you know now, about how many teams do you think he'd be able to start on? |

I sure do! But despite that, he still tries harder than Lebron on defense a lot of the time. Couldn't give a damn about any media opinion. All I saw was a guy trying a lot harder than the team's supposed leader and who wasn't afraid to push him towards one of the best shooters in the league, because the superstar seemed uninterested in even making a minimal effort of closing out on him. Lebron playing lazy-ass defense and not closing on shooters is not a remotely new phenomenon. |

And then you guys want Kuz to be the centerpiece of a blockbuster trade yet you guys think he is a bench player? Lol. |
I dont think Kuz was the centerpiece of any of the big trades, that was Ingram and Ball. He was def. a big part of those trades as he is absolutely valued and can be very dangerous for any team if utilized correctly with his scoring.
I agree though that he is not a starter on a really good team because his extreme lack of defense and that he is pretty much an overall negative on the floor if the shot is not falling.
I think allowing Kuz to come out and just worry about shooting and show a little energy off the bench as a possible great 6th man is where he could be the most dangerous imo. If his shot is falling let him obviously play heavier minutes those games.
I got nothing against Kuz though, I think he is way overplaying his draft position and I do at least see effort on defense from him at times even though I still feel he has potential to be at least adequate and not a total liability on that side.
The lack of energy and lazy defense is on the whole team and a lot of that rests on Lebron, I know he's older now but he also knew he was coming to a young team. When these guys see one of the all time greats as there teammate play lazy or take stretches of games off that can be contagious real quick as a season progresses. This team is a complete 180 from last year and the very beginning of this year as far as just pure hustle and effort goes imo.
The last few years we were clearly not a great team but they were still watchable and very easy to root for since you could see they were playing there asses off most of the time. Lebron is playing the whole "turn my switch on when I want" mentality which doesn't work on a team like this with guys that are still developing. you just look at even the last 2 games, both of those are for sure wins if they play like they did last year. It's amazing to me how many unforced and lazy mistakes both Lebron and Rondo have made the last few weeks at the end of games. This current team is def. not the easiest to watch and root for, it's infuriating the way they are losing this year. |

You’re funny. He’s had the green light all year long. He’s not an 8 rebound guy and he’s certainly not a 25ppg dude. He’s WAY too inconsistent.
But damn if he wouldn’t be one of the best 6th Men in the league. |

Nuh uhn, you're wrong. I've been informed by a good source that he'd be a 25/8 guy on the Nets. _________________ Under New Management |

Did I miss a good joke here? Because honestly I think Kyle is the one guy we’ve drafted who’s probably been given the proper room to grow and branch out as a player. He is who he is. I like him some nights then other nights I wish he WAs a net and we had DLo back. |

This season we started to see how Ball and ingram have higher ceilings than Kuz. That's no a knock on Kyle. Those other two just have more runway by age. All three can be really good. |

What's with all this talk about Kuz being a bench player? Unless there is someone on this team that will play better than Kuz at the 3 with LeBron James at the 4 or play better than Kuz at the 4 with Lebron at the 3, then he remains a starter.
No point discussing where Kuz would be ideal at on another team. This is all about the Lakers. On the Lakers team as of right now, he is the starter.

LOL we are a lottery team (aka we suck), we just beat the Bulls (who also suck btw). Kuzma is definitely a bench player on a good team. |
