Great game by Kuz. His offensive spark in the 2nd half was huge. He probably had extra motivation to perform well in this game knowing the Lakers wanted to keep him out of the AD trade. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I don't think that joke will ever be not funny. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

So at this point I'm wondering if there is a bit of a beef between Kuz and Hart. From reddit:

Why would that mean beef and not friendly trash talk/competition between friends? |

They're all friends. I'm still pissed at Josh for almost taking out both our superstars in one night though |

Hart is a fine young player. He left LA on bad terms tho, if you remember the interview he did with #ZO2 when he said Lakers culture is depressing. |

I was more annoyed at the people doing the interview. They told him it would be cut and they "accidentally" left it in. Then Hart had to go do the round of apologies that his "sarcasm" was left in. |

This is not in any way an admonishment: Unless he either improves as a defender or is defensively matched up against a bad offensive forward on the the other team, Kyle Kuzma, on this team, will be relegated to a 20-25 minute offensive role-player.
This is his role. _________________ A creative scorer, a wing defender, and a shooter. |

Kuzma is shooting 36% from 3, and has a defensive rating of 107.
Last year Kuzma was shooting 30.3% from 3 and had a defensive rating of 112.
The young guy has gotten better on defense and also shooting better from outside. That's all I wanted to see from him. I am very happy with his progress.
He is doing a good job of finding spots and situations where he is not on and suddenly hitting a few shots. This is what you want from him. Keep working on that defense, and play hard. Take what comes to you on offense but Kuzma is a guy that can get hot and hit a few shots in a short burst.
From a very bad start, where I was ready to accept him as not ready to deliver, I have began to like a lot of what Kuzma brings. The only concern I have is his lack of experience-IQ. He seems confused at times. He is a little lost and players have to tell him what to do. However he is showing to be a player you can trust around AD and Lebron. He gives us a different look and feel. More team speed, more spacing. More 3 point shooting. All while he is still figuring out ways to score using his other skills. |

For all the (bleep) we give him, he has come up big for us down the stretch multiple times. Props for that. |

My biggest thing with him is still just absolutely god awful awareness at times and low overall bbiq.
He has had some nice scoring bursts lately that the team needed and maybe I should just be happy with that. I just feel like he could be much better. |

Kuzma is the GOAT. Kuzma should be the No.1 scoring option. Kuzma is the future. Kuzma is the next Kobe. Kuzma will lead the Lakers to another championship. |

Either he or Rondo was the worst player on the floor today. Hopefully he has a nice bounce back game on Tuesday. We are going to need all the help we can get. |

maybe somebody gotta have a talk with kuzma. maybe kobe?? sit him down tell him look man, the time is now. its time for you to man tf up!! you been banged up had some injuries thats fine but ur now on a contending team and its time to start playing like it. increase your effort out there. stop worrying about being some superstar player and start worrying about being a superstar teammate that offers positive impact on the team!! dude has talent theres no doubt but at times i wonder is he even in the game mentally? is he thinking about the gram out there on the court or his hair?? bruh gotta get it together!!! we need hungry kuz back. rookie kuz!! what happened to that chip on your shoulder??? _________________ Kobe Forever |

Don’t think his issues are mental. |
