He has to keep working on his handles

If he can go two or three dribbles and pull up for a midrange or by free throw line extended for a short jumper like Kawhi

No two guard will be able to challenge him

Kawhi has great handles

Paul George’s handles are (bleep)

That’s why PG always settles for contested threes

Kuz is definitely not a 2-Guard and because of the obvious reason of not being able to dribble! He would be a match-up problem for most 2's in the league, but once they find out his deficiency, they would target him with going left with the dribble.

Also it's important to point out that being able to dribble the ball is only one aspect of being able to create your own shot off of the dribble, which he can't do. Yes if he works on that he's a different player, but still not a 2-Guard.

I like what Kuz has done to his game and IMO his biggest issue is Consistency! If he can find a way to be more consistent from game to game, then we're talking a different player. I love how he's rebounding the ball, but if you give us 10 rebounds, we need 10 points from you every night at least!

Consistency has been the issue with the entire team .

That's true of most of the guys in the league. Everyone can bring it occasionally. The stars are the ones who can bring it every night.

Can Danny Green dribble?
Can KCP dribble?
Can Khris Middleton dribble?
Can PG13 dribble?

There are a ton of 2 guards with suspect handles

Kuzma can do it

Have to maximize his potential

Yeah, he's at least consistently bringing the effort in rebounding and defense this season. I think he's also a little lost still on the offensive end as not knowing his role. We all have seen he can clearly be a scorer when he's consistently put in the position to but he still hasn't found that happy medium scoring wise while being just a 4-6th option.

I agree though a bit with the scoring but I think some of that is on the coaching staff and should try to run some plays for him and get him going a bit more early in games (kind of like they did for the bigs last season). I also think he should get 4-6 points a game from cutting or put backs alone. You start adding all that to everything else he is doing currently and that's a legit star player or at worst a high end role player which would demand much more then what he makes as well. I hope he can get there as that would only make us that much better but overall i'm extremely satisfied with him this season thus far and sadly there's not a ton of Lakers I can say that about so far this season.

Needs to be traded to a team like Detroit and get his Shareef Abdur-Rahim on.

Without his contributions, they lose to the Pacers. Inconsistent scoring plagued the whole team. His contributions on both sides made a difference in the game.

Kuz sparked them in the fourth quarter tonight. I think it was a loss without him.

The way he has played the last 2 games, likely what the Lakers envisioned he would become if he were a featured player. A lot of that goes away because Lakers have a superstar in AD. We do not need Kuzma to be that kind of aggressive scorer, but you in 2018-19 he had as good a 2nd year as some of the guys we sent out in the AD trade. He is easily capable to average 20 points a night given the opportunity and role. I feel we made a good move signing him as an asset to that 3year 40M deal. A lot of teams will at some point want a player at that range who can give you 20 points a night as a starter.

Lakers got a steal so far with the 3 yrs/40 mil... right now he’s worth 3 yr/50 mil and if he keeps this up throughout the season maybe even 55-60

Wish he could start, needs to play 35 mins with higher usage than we've seen. With LeBron and Dennis looking tired and ineffective the points have to come from somewhere.

Good thing kuzma is already playing like a dog out there. If he ccontinue to play like this once AD return, then Lakers will have a big chance to repeat even if the Nets is emerging as the new favorite.

Was so proud of Kuz - he is bringing the effort consistently every night which is a huge deal. If he could get his offensive game going consistently we would REALLY have something.

Yea this is something he does a lot. At least he seems to attack more in control than picking up all the charges, that was my other pet peeve.

He needs to start at 2 guard
Period

You play your best players to win games and dominate

Zion Williamson is starting
Zion’s game has all sorts of holes

You can’t start KUZ at 3 Bron is there
You can’t start him at 4 AD is there
He is not a 5
He is not a 1

Put him at the 2 and let him figure it out

You are getting NOTHING with KCP and Matthews

Just do it

Don’t dig yourself a hole and wait for Kuz to bail you out in the 4th

If you start him at the 2

You can dominate right out of the gates
