I'm not criticizing his overall play. He's been great, particularly for a rookie. And his defense seems pretty solid. The low steals and blocks just sort of jump off the stat sheet a bit.

He doesn’t gamble on defense. I’ve noticed he always tries to stay in front of his man and never reaches. He plays positional defense well but gets pushed around by bigger 4s. Once he gets more acclimated I would like to see him go for the steal a bit more and start jumping to block shots vs taking the charge.

My only problem with Kuzma is his hands might be too small to throw down monster dunks on people. 0/2 this season. Please prove me wrong.

WTF why didn't he include 'generational talent, better than Steph Curry' Lonzo Big Baller??

Tbf on one of those he tried to dunk on Embiid from behind the dotted line and damn near finished it . The fact that he has the nuts to even attempt that leads me to believe he'll be putting plenty of people on posters in the future.

Kuz deserves to be our #1 option, even as a rookie.

Kyle Kuzma said he plans to continue his relationship with Kobe during the season, said he wants to approach the game of basketball, the same way Kobe did. https://t.co/oucFCttSEU

Kuzma has been incredible, and anything attached to the #27 normally is =P .. I hope he can continue to progress and play like this. I hope Lonzo can adjust and still turn into what we all want so bad. If we can add Lonzo to the studs of Ingram and Kuz, we will be a very desired destination.

Ben Simmons with a shot but w/out the handles. Let's hope Kuz can lock up the starting PF spot permanently during LNJr's downtime.

Everyone else might be dismissing you, but I'd like to see those numbers rise as well.

kuz and Nance at #27, we seem to be good at finding steals but:
Dlo over porzingis
ingram over jalen brown(guy is balling now)
zo over tatum
like, do our scouts find the late round gems and the gm's make the top picks?
why are we seemingly so good at late picks only?

Do you actually watch Jaylen Brown or just look at the box scores?

Exactly, he seems to be more focused on playing solid positional defense rather than gamble. He would be inclined to gamble more I think if he had a shot eraser behind him like Gobert.

Most rookies struggle defensively; IMO Kuzma is playing smart defense.

There's more freedom to draft in the later picks than in the beginning, where there's an expectation to draft according to the consensus.

Put Ingram on Boston with that team and coaching staff and we’d be talking about how even philly may have blown it taking Simmons over him

In November:
Pts 16.9, Reb 8.4. Good for 9th in PF Scoring and 5th in Rebounding.
Not bad

I don't think we have issues selecting players.

I think our issues lie with developing them. Our player development infrastructure sucks IMO.

Put DLO/Ingram/Lonzo on Boston and I think they're killing it.

I've read a similar sentiment to this in the Luke thread.
But when you think about the best coaches who are the best at developing young talent. They sit their asses on the pine their rookie year. Something most Laker fans would be up in arms about.
Phil, Pop, and even the recent golden child Stevens. None of them start rookies. Jaylen Brown didn't start last year. And if Hayward didn't get hurt, Tatum would be getting far less minutes as well.
