I’m very pleased with Kuzma’s play. Just wish he was a better 3pt shooter. |

Kind of a ludicrous statement. Kuzma is way more advanced at scoring than Ingram. It’s not even close. We need Ingram to be much better. Bottom line is he’s been a disappointment whereas Kuzma has been a nice surprise in terms of expectations. |
I agree. Kuz can score in a variety of ways. I don't understand how Ingram is more versatile. He has a better handle but that's not terribly relevant when it hurts the team when he over dribbles. Likewise, he averages one more free throw attempt per game than Kuz, but that's not very significant because he doesn't shoot them at a high clip.
Kuz is a better finisher, better from 3-10 feet, better from 3, moves better off the ball, and has better shot selection. |

BI keeps pounding the ball and the guy needs to really work to get his points. Whereas Kuzma score a lot easier. |
BI does things that a #2 scorer needs
He can draw fouls and get to the FT line better then Kuzma
And yeah Kuzma is a talented scorer but don’t deny what BI can do we are just acting like BI isn’t Important but we have a better chance to consistently win if he is our #2 guy, Kuzma is more of a guy who can play the Bosh role. |
62% from the line .. it would probably be better for the team if he didnt go there |
Yikes. I hadn’t realized BI's free throw shooting was that bad. That's getting near Lonzo territory — but BI shoots five times as many free throws per game as Lonzo. |

Kuz’s energy is infectious. Wish Lonzo and BI took the same approach. _________________ We only celebrate championships.

Really impressed with Kuzma, the development is clear to see. He's taking responsibility, that's such a big step when players take it another level.
Hope that 3 pointer goes up to 33-34% by seaaons end, which isn't fantastic but would be 'great' considering the alterations he's made to his shot and the very poor start. More activity on the boards is also warranted even if he is on the wings more often, he can do a much better job there.
The defensive activity and the court reading have really improved, can't complain about the leap made there but you always hope it can get better. |

Kuzma this season is the superior offensive player... but Ingram was a better finisher last year... and better from midrange. Remains to be seen who will be better from three... as they both started poorly, but Kuzma has been heating up recently.
The problem playing them together is if at least one of them doesn't shoot well from range... then they need to take one out.
Kuzma was spreading the floor last year... because he was making threes at high volume. With Brook and Kyle hitting from range... it allowed Ingram to score more inside. Since Kuzma slumped this year from three... he's compensated by focusing on his floater and little jump hooks which is smart... but doesn't spread the floor.
It's not important necessarily to score from three... as someone like Giannis only makes shots from close range on high volume and efficiency... but it's necessary for one of the two to shoot from range if they want to play in the same lineup together.
Ideally it would be both because we need Ingram's length on defense... so hopefully Kuzma starts hitting his threes.
I'm not saying Ingram should start over Kuzma either... Kuzma clearly has been the better scorer.
It's just we can keep both of them together if he returns to the Kyle of last season. |

He had 2 back to back plays in the 4th quarter where he contested Harden without fouling just after Hart had gotten his 3rd fouling Harden at the 3. But in all honesty, the whole team played defense enough but the refs just kept blowing the whistle on almost every CP3 and Harden flop. |
Thanks. At the end of the day what I hope for from Kuz is to play defense ‘enough’ and any more than that is even better. _________________ Austin Reaves

Agreed.
Lonzo and BI playing it a little too "cool" for my liking.
Both of them could stand to show a little more energy and swag on the floor. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Kuz can score 20 in his sleep. He's a natural-born scorer. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I disagree. That was the same mistake we made with Randle. Ingram is not even the age Kuzma was at Kuzma’s rookie season. Kuzma is slightly better than BI right now but that doesn’t make BI expendable in my opinion. Both of them play very well together and it’s a good problem to have both. |

Kuz has been much better at both of those these last few weeks..
Give me the choice between them, I take Kuz. That said, BI is not "expandable". |

Kuz's problem at the 3 is not his skill. The guy has a very good stroke. The problem is that he's covered all the damn time and rarely takes open 3s. Finally, I think he's rushing his shots a bit.
The latter he can fix, for the former could be addressed if our offense in half court was a bit more sophisticated, which it isn't. |

Quiet game for my boy Kuz. He was in foul trouble. 28 minutes, 14 points (two 3's), 3 reb, 3 asst, and 1 stl, +29 _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Not a bad game from Kuz but nowhere near what we've seen from him of late.
The team was firing on all cylinders(sans FTs ofcourse), so we didn't need him to exert.
We'll keep that cartridge for later. |
