Has Kuz done enough, earned enough respect, to finally have his thread not mention his hair?

Kuz deserves to start.

He's better than any starter not named Lebron or AD.

I wish the title would change even if he doesn't perform well

Since the bubble, Kuzma is leading the team in shooting %:

3PT% = 52.9%, 9/16
FG% (besides Javale and Dwight) = 44.4%

How'd he look tonight? Missed the game. I see he led the team in +/-. That's good.
I also see he had 5 fouls. Was he biting on pump fakes again?

I wasn't able to pay full attention to this game like the last two but I mostly saw him playing very sound defense honestly. Even some of the shots the defense made over him were still good defense just great shots. I don't remember seeing any real bad fouls by him but I could have missed one.

It's pretty crazy the turn around he has had, even when he had his good stretches earlier in the season he'd still have one or two bone headed plays but lately he looks like a legit solid dependable veteran defender.. idk wtf exactly happened but I love it and hope it continues.

Danny Green on the other hand looks like a lost rookie half the time on defense on top of his awful shooting (outside of the couple nice floaters he had in this game). I've been hoping he would tighten things up once the bubble started but i've seen zero evidence of it so far.

Well that's good to hear. I like what I've seen from him in the bubble so far. He's lived up to the 3rd best player role from what I saw in the LAC and TOR games.

Danny Green at this point. I just expect nothing.

kuz has been playing very wellin the bubble...very steady and under control...apart from giving up a 4 point play late in the game, he was steady on offense and defense...even hit a nice 3 when utah started to narrow the gap a little late in the 4th...

Great effort on defense from Kuz and mostly solid decision making.

I would think Kuz and other role players would play well in the bubble due to minimal distractions. And for the role players that don't play as well on the road, crowd noise isn't a factor.

All that said, Kuz is balling. Hope he keeps it up.

He is the key tbh. 16-18 ppg with strong wing defending gives this team the dynamic component to reach the ultimate goal.

Even if he averages 12, they can get 4 more points out of Waiters/KCP/Green...but he has to continue playing elite level defense to save Lebron’s legs for late in games.

Kuzma has improved immensely in the defensive end this season, with one big example being his job on Pascal Siakam. Broke down some of the differences in the matchup from November to August.

Need more aggression from Kuz. His rim FGA this year has fallen dramatically and has instead been taking more long mid-range jumpers. I think that his foot injury spooked him a little bit and he's back to his rim-grazer dunk package but I'd really like to see more of this Kuz in the playoffs:

..instead of his new found love for the step-back midrange shot since the restart. Also needs to work on his floaters. Those were money back in his rookie year

Kuz's rookie year he displayed so much more in the way of creative scoring. He had a nice little floater in the lane, a sweeping hook when moving laterally, acrobatic finishes and dunks off cuts, spot-up shooting, etc. Since AD has arrived that variety has almost completely disappeared and he's almost exclusively a jumpshooter. That more than anything in my opinion is the reason for his seeming decline. He's being used exclusively as a spot up shooter and that does not fit his game

That game against Houston made my eyes bleed, but luckily there was a bright spot tonight and that was Kuz.

People credit his good defense or his scoring, but something that was different tonight was his decision making. He actually passed the ball when there was a good opportunity to give it up. He also knew when to attack versus when to shoot.

Kuz has become pretty much the 3rd guy we wanted him to be. Now Danny, KCP, Dwight, Javale, Morris, and Waiters need to get it together.

Most of you guys comparing THT to other players but for me he's more like Brogdan which he is guarding earlier.
