Huge DLO fan here and I agree. He really might be the best scorer the Lakers have drafted after all these tanking years.

Kuz being drafted not only saved face with the DLO trade, but we might have even won the trade.

noooooope

Might? We won the Kuzma Trade.

Ya it's not even a question anymore. Specially after dlo being lost whole year to orthoscopic knee injury

Other guys have been out a month with that. He’s now out for the season?

still battling hard for dlo i see

Jim?

The unnecessary emoji before the insult is kind of a tell.

Ok, whatever helps you sleep at night. There is not even any point in discussing the D ' A N G E L O R U S S E L L trade in this context.

This wasn't even my point at all... I was just saying I think he is our best drafted scorer

I'd put he and DLo on the same tier - Russell is still a year younger than Kuzma putting up better per36 offensive numbers.

Both good offensive players and we definitely need that.

And so is Jim and his gang apparently.

Notice who brings up DLO in this thread. Certainly not us.

The D'Lo gang need to stop trippin.

Absolutely no way that he is worth more than Kuzma, Lopez and the financial flexibility for a max slot next year.

It's not just Kuzma, it's Brook who has been arguably our best player this season, and cap room at the end of the season.

Who the heck is talking about Dlo? It’s the people who say we should stop talking about him that talk about him the most.

Brook has had what...? three good games this season?

Anyway, Kuzma's efficiency is going to take a hit here as he has to take on more of the scoring load with Lopez, KCP, and Ball being so inconsistent. But hopefully it pays off as he tries to fight through defenses that are increasingly geared towards him. It would be awesome if he could grow into a true #2 option.

Dlo might become one of those players who could have been great but could never put it together because of constant nagging injuries. If hes a good player with shakey knees i think Lakers won the trade...wait this is the Kuzma thread? Thought i was in the Dlo thread for a second.

This kid Kuzma is going to be a 25/9 player in his prime and luckily his prime should be sooner than later considering he's 22 right now.

I knew Magic thought Kuzma was special based on how they were acting and sitting next to each other during the rookie press conference. But Magic screwed up. Kuz should have gotten his own presser and Zo should have been with Bryant & Hart. No laughing emoji.

There are only three players in the NBA putting up those numbers right now: Cousins, AD, and the Freak.

Kuz can do it. He's gonna get close to 25 a game for sure in his prime. His offensive game is too good and it's only going to get better. 17/7 so far and they arent even running plays for him.

I think that might be a little bit of a stretch since those are primary option type numbers. I have him putting up PG13 level stats at the upper end - 20-22ppg/7-8rpg/3-4apg.

But if he does get to 25/9, he's going to be an All-Star starter. I hope he does!

I think he's definitely a lock to be a 2nd option but lately I am seeing signs of possibly being the primary scoring option, even on a good team. Dude has a big arsenal of offensive weapons already. He just needs to keep refining them. Plus he's doing this without his 3 ball falling for him yet.

Look at that! A sweeping right-handed hook, a one-legged runner, a reverse pivot driving layup, and a couple threes in only one game!

True, if he can get his 3pt shooting up he'll become really deadly. I also like that he's clearly been working on his handle - he tried a behind the back dribble in traffic that didn't work (twas a turnover, alas), but it's exciting to see him try to incorporate that into his game so early into his career.
