It may come down in time to who is the better player, Ingram or Kuzma, but at this point, they are both improving young and talented players. We just want to win, so I don't want to get all bogged down in that debate.
I just wonder what the thought process with Kuzma; his play at Utah was really only average, I mean TJ Leaf looked better at UCLA at the time. Kuzma's jump shot was not all that to write home about. He apparently had a great showing at his workout for the Lakers, and that drive to become great impressed us enough to take a flyer on him, and boy did we hit a homerun (or slam dunk if you want the basketball analogy).
Given the Lakers history of later round draft picks, I wonder when they saw him if they thought he was a version of Brian Cook or Luke Walton, maybe a better shooting Larry Nance. I think with that 27th pick, we got our version of Klay Thompson, what a late first round steal by the front office. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

Cuffs is one of LeBron's guys. Another example of how highly people around the team think of Kuzma.

Kuzma is about to be a star. Ingram is only 21. Josh Hart is gonna be one of the most underrated two way players in the league. I like Jimmy Butler’s game but nawl dog |

22/5/5 with 36% 3P in 59 games played at age 29....
Kuzma will drastically close that gap in the next year or 2. |

Clearly... Kuzma has James Harden like defense, he legit runs in the opposite direction when he is playing defense. |

And you're ignoring that Kuz will likely improve in those areas and more going forward. Keep in mind that I'm also considering their ages and Butler's mileage + injury history here. If we're talking about who to pick for this upcoming season, sure, it'd be Butler. I'm talking about the next 3-5+ years. |

Lebron doesn’t have 3-5 years, I am thinking of competing. Though I doubt Minny would do that. And I wouldn’t do Ball or Ingram. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Kuzma's gonna be better than him..Ingram's gonna be better than him..
The hype surrounding this guy is crazy in itself..No way i'd be trading 2 future young stars for a hyped up, weary Thib legged diva..Hell naw..
Lonzo's gonna be better than him too..And yes this is Lavar Ball.. _________________ "In the Beginner's Mind there are many possibilities, but in the experts mind there are few"...Zen Proverbs..Shunryu Suzuki..Phil Jackson..Lakers forevah.. |

Nah bro. I love Kuzma, easily my favorite Laker right now but Butler is a 2 way juggernaut. Having said that I wouldn't trade for him. Keep the youngsters and use the cap space to go after either Kawhi, Jimmy, or Klay. |

It is preseason and Laker fans always love the potential of their young players. It is going to be fun to see which of the players actually arise to the occasion. Many of us, I am sure, are going to have to put on a bib, pull out a knife and fork, and eat the crow on the plate in front of us. Only time will tell which of us that will be. _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”

Kuz can be an all star this year and still not have Jimmy Butler impact. If he is better than Butler, the Lakers are the clear second best team in the NBA even if the other young guys don’t improve. That would be awesome, but it’s not gonna happen. |

I dont want Jimmy unless he comes FREE. I dont want to trade any of our 4 young core for Jimmy. Kuz might not be better than Butler, but talk to me after 50 games! |

I'd start Kuz and Ingram.. I also wouldn't trade any of our youth core for Butler.
Ingram can be just as effective as any of our other shooting guards at the 2. Which gives us the versatility needed to have Kuz out there with him. |
