Etwaun Moore play with a shot similar to Courtney Lee. I will take that for a 6 man or back up guard. His defense looked promising from the summer league. If we don't end up with a vet PG, he may be the older player Lonzo learns some defense from.
This all depends on who breaks out next year. If KCP breaks(max) and Clarkson plays good defense, Hart would be expendable with Randle and others. If Randle breaks out, Hart may stay depending on who the other max would be. Same goes for Clarkson. And if you do go for another max, it means you're going all in. They would deal with being over the cap for a few years if it meant rings.
Hart's got to stay ready. He wasn't able to pull a Kuzma in SPL and showcase his ability and skill. If Thomas and Blue end up with 2 way contracts for this season somewhere they'll have Hart to thank for it.
KCP's going to play all the minutes he can handle at SG. Hart could end up being VERY similar to Pope at that position - not quite as fast but with a better 3pt shot.
We've got another FA to bring in and it looks like it maybe a combo guard that'll be interchangeable with JC. He's ready to contribute now but I just don't see how Hart gets minutes unless there's an injury - knock on wood.
Don't see him contributing much this season barring injury. Expect him to play in the G league more than anything. There just won't be minutes to spare with Clarkson, Deng, Kuzma, Nance on the roster. That an KCP likely plays a fairly significant amount of minutes as is.
Ideally, minutes open up for him following the trade deadline with Clarkson being shipped out for a first rounder.

I think this team runs. I also think there's a lot of minutes to distribute between the 25-32 minute mark for a lot of guys.
When there's a season like this, where there's no pick on the line and the most optimistic outcome is just making the playoffs, there's no point to burning out legs. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
In the brief time I saw him during SPL nothing popped out and said this guys a player. The truth of the matter is that guys that far down in the draft are really a crapshoot. If Kuzma alone turns out to be a player, I'd be delighted.
Having said that, I like mature players who are winners, so he's definitely worth hoping on.

he had a couple of nice defensive stints where he keep his man in front of him. and on a take to the rack you could see his "grown man" strength kick in. especially looking at all of our skinny rooks, from dlo with the rail thin legs, to JC, now to ball. guys are going to get bullied by the likes of james harden, westbrook, derozan, etc. they are lucky most of these kids are coming in super early and are thin as heck. because they would have a hard time going up against the likes of kobe, paul pierce, vince carter, etc. dudes that are just as athletic but will also throw their weight & strength around a lot during the game.
check out the highlights.
now go back and watch his college highlights. remember when you see a guy do things in college then you see him do the very same things at the next level. it means his game can translate. which means he will be a lot more comfortable going to the next level seeing as he wont have to completely switch his game up for the new talent he will face.
for example. you see that big lebron looking kid they are talking about thats #2 in the nation still in highschool. Zion. in high school he's bigger/stronger and more athletic than pretty much everyone in HS across the country. will that be the case in college? Probably. will that be the case in the nba? if he keeps growing? Maybe. but if it isnt. and he still doesnt have a real jumper. he will have to change a lot of his game to exist in the nba. his regular game wont translate as well. this will make his transition to the big league harder. not impossible, just harder.

I like was I saw from Josh (summer league) even though it was a small sample size.
It's possible that JH might even play a game or two in the G-league but he definitely has NBA talent. He'll get playing time because of his versatility, hustle, IQ & grit.
He's a proven winner and will consistently give 100% effort.

I see him as the next Gary Neal or JJ Barea which is a good expectation for Hart.

Really happy with this pick. Seems like a tough-minded winner who can shoot. Can never have too many of those types of players.
I agree, he is a strong tough player, solid defender and a willing passer. That injury was unfortunate for the summer league. But I am looking forward to seeing him this coming season.
He reminds me of Derek Fisher the way he competes.
Solid late pick
I got that Dfish vibe from him as well.
Hopefully he'll hit some big shots for us as well.
If he can keep us competitive while starters are resting it is enough, anything beyond that would be great for a late pick without elite athleticism os skills.

You gotta admit, Dfish without the clutch shots was pretty bad.

On paper I'd agree. But he had some kind of effect on Kobe I can't really quantify. He helped bring the best out of Kobe, IMO.

Not in his prime he wasn't. He was definitely serviceable and a really solid player.
