The former, but definitely not the latter.

Yeah Kyle Lowry is a 3x all star and barely 6ft tall.

Who he reminds me of is Maurice Evans, would be awesome if he turns out better but that’s what I see him capping off as which is not bad

I'm referring to playing style. Hart is taller than Fisher too btw.

In the last four drafts LA has had seven picks that, relative to draft position, include four steals (Clarkson, Nance, Zubac, Kuzma), one miss (Brown) and two TBDs (Hart, Bryant).

The talent in this past draft was unusually deep, especially with underclassmen. Perfect setup to score a late draft gem who is overlooked because they are an upperclassman. That's our scouting department's wheelhouse.

Some nice plays down the stretch today. I really hope he becomes a consistent rotation player. I love the way he competes.

Hart looks like a guy who will have a 10 year career in the NBA. His upside is limited, but I think he will be a valuable contributor. My top end comp is Derek Fisher in overall impact. I'll take it.

Good analysis Mr Sanity, I agree with the Fisher comp ( yeah we know he isn't 6'1")

This is a guy I want to see more of.

I love the way he competes.

His defense seem good just as it was billed but want to see more.

Outside shooting seems okay so far but the sample is small

I don't have a feel yet for his passing or decision making

Don't know about his ability to drive and dish when run off 3 point line.

So far good things seem to happen when he plays and I like that.

Don't know here he will get minutes from except may play in first 2 games due to KCP not being available.

I guess Hart and JC could be 2nd unit backcourt versus JC & Ennis but that may take a few weeks to iron itself out.

Anyway I really like the guy but I am still not sure what we have at this point.

We've seen so little of the guy it's hard to get too much excitement going. He looks like a solid, mature four year guy. He was a leader on a championship team and his maturity shows. I'm more impressed with Hart the longer I see him play.

After all the Kuzma Love, he kind of got lost in the shuffle, but I like what I've seen in the last couple games, another great, late pick

Luke will be a idiot not to start Hart on opening night, he is the type of player that can end up making a difference.

Not really. I like Josh but Clarkson should probably start.

I like to see if Harts D can give Gallo and Lou some fits, it will be a good learning experience for him, quite frankly we know what Clarkson is.

Just wanna see if his defense can be effective against pure scorers like Gallinari and Lou.

He wants to hit a KCP ceiling... wants to be a factor offensively..
Wonder if he can reach it

Hart is more of a physical defender. Usually that doesn't translate well from NCAA to NBA. NBA rewards quickness defensively, far more than strength.

Josh Hart should start. All three (first round) rookies should start with Deng and Pope.

probably break the record....get closer to 0-82 than any team before with that lineup.

Plus the first 2 games we would have a four man starting line-up because KCP is suspended.

It's about building a team around your star point guard. He needs shooters, runners, and defenders around him to do his thing -- establishing pace.

Ball takes a bunch of shooters who can also get out and run and terms them into gold. He did it in high school, and he did it at UCLA.

I don't see any reason why he can't do the same in the NBA with a lineup where he'd be feeding Kyle Kuzma, Luol Deng, and Josh Hart as his primary offensive players. Deng, Kuzma, and Hart were born to play with Ball. All have shown they can shoot, run, move the ball, and defend multiple positions.

It's not as far-fetched as it seems at first glance. Have you seen the types of players these days who get significant minutes at center and PF? Deng could hold his own at center against 85% of the league.
