I have had many achilles strains. They take 2-3 weeks to completely heal. For me anyway, without superb medical attention around the clock. Haha.

Lol, hopefully the staff works there magic, we can’t afford to lose players on a daily basis, Hart is gonna need to be one of our defensive players so we need him no matter what people think about him

probably break the record....get closer to 0-82 than any team before with that lineup.

It's about building a team around your star point guard. He needs shooters, runners, and defenders around him to do his thing -- establishing pace.

Ball takes a bunch of shooters who can also get out and run and terms them into gold. He did it in high school, and he did it at UCLA.

I don't see any reason why he can't do the same in the NBA with a lineup where he'd be feeding Kyle Kuzma, Luol Deng, and Josh Hart as his primary offensive players. Deng, Kuzma, and Hart were born to play with Ball. All have shown they can shoot, run, move the ball, and defend multiple positions.

It's not as far-fetched as it seems at first glance. Have you seen the types of players these days who get significant minutes at center and PF? Deng could hold his own at center against 85% of the league.

You serious about Deng?

I am ... quite.

He isn't done at all, IMO. He's just no longer an official wing player; he's a "big man" now (in today's NBA). He should be the biggest guy on the floor or the second biggest guy on the floor at all times.

Plus he's a smart guy. I see Deng as a serious mismatch for most starting NBA centers. Has anyone ever seen the way he runs the floor? Transition, along with the corner three, is how he gets most of his points.

he's like early Curry with the ankle injuries. Hopefully he can get on some type of regimen like Curry did to strengthen his hips and core to prevent ankle injuries.

Tania Ganguli @taniaganguli
Achillis bursitis for Josh Hart, which we are told is not as bad as an Achilles strain. Julius Randle practiced except 5 on 5. Bogut full go

Lakers' Josh Hart: Questionable for Thursday

Quote:
Hart (Achilles) is considered questionable for Thursday's regular-season opener against the Clippers.

Hart has been diagnosed with Achilles bursitis and hasn't been able to take part in a full practice yet this week.

Hart out vs Clippers per Bresnahan

I’m glad we aren’t rushing him back, there is a long season ahead, he’s gonna have plenty of chances to show what he can do.

Is it sad that I'd rather have him starting in KCP's place than JC? Just felt like even in the few minutes that we actually saw him play in the summer and preseason, he didn't try to do too much and stayed within his limitations. He'll definitely play more calm and composed than the average rookie...just hope that he puts this injury business behind him soon.

Hart was fantastic tonight. Manned up on defense, grabbed some key rebounds, hit a few clutch shots. He should be absolutely getting regular minutes if healthy.

Ok Byron I really like Hart's play. Played under control, hit clutch shots, and played tough D. He needs more minutes.

Give him Ingrams I'm tired of him passing up open shots.

He should start. I've been saying it for weeks. If you want to surround Ball with perimeter defense and shooting, he's one of the most qualified on this roster.

Start Josh Hart on one wing with Pope on the other and you take one solid step toward developing a real identity in that first unit.
