Yeah but I think this still implies he's out a couple of week. Whether it be rest or surgery.

Surgery would mean he’s out for the season, if it’s just rest he could return in 2 weeks

Right. I was just clarifying best case scenario he's still out a couple of weeks

Just get better, Hitman. The more challenge presented to our team, the more aI watch to see how they overcome the obstacle. Let’s see how creative we get on the substitution matchups with the heat. Gotta scarp on the zone and help D, it’s doable with the proper on the fly strategy... This is more of a test for Luke and Shaw than anything else... gotta remember, in the playoffs, you’re going to have injured players, it’s good practice to be able to use your personnel to overcome those injuries.

It's going to take some legit creativity when in one day we've gone from 2 to zero backups for Brandon Ingram. Kuzma perhaps, but then who backs up Randle now that Nance is gone too? Deng is what's left. Frye is recovering from an appendectomy. T Bryant for a long shot perhaps, but that's a lot riskier than Deng.

Can the Lakers run a three guard lineup instead of adding Caruso or Ennis back in?

Just interchange a lineup of:

Ball-KCP
IT-Ball
IT-KCP

You can roll with Zo, IT, and KCP with Kuz and Randle/Lopez/Zu, if need be.

I think Hart has played himself into a solid role on this team. I think KCP will not be resigned because of Hart. I am surprised they don't look into trading him now or at least once Lonzo shows his injury will not reignite.

Our guard rotation has KCP and Lonzo starting with IT and Hart off the bench. The other guys are expendable. I think KCP and Hart are interchangeable without skipping a beat. Not sure KCP will be willing to wait out the off-season trades, FA signings and if he will be willing to take less to play here. So I figure he will go elsewhere and Hart will become our starter. Not worried about it, Hart will be a great player for years to come. IT not bad off the bench, but doubt he will be happy with that role.

Hart is a perfect fit for this team, 3 and D, and one who can drive too! Really think his game is about a perfect fit for this team.

I think perhaps we move Kuze into a solid guard rotation and even let BI hand PG duties some of the time. Not a traditional lineup but seems to be the way the NBA is moving. I really liked the way BI handled the point after he quit trying to run plays and just starting reading the D's and looking for the open man.

Agreed. Not only having faith that the coaching staff has matchup substitutions in mind for the Heat, but also hoping that our guys that are subbed can execute what’s being asked of them. It’s gonna be tough, but not impossible.

Trade deadline is over and no need to trade him at this point. They just won't resign him after this year. Hart is a keeper.

And Ball is restricted while Thomas isn’t healthy

It's just his left hand. Kobe would have played with this injury!

We all loved Kobe's "toughness", but really, it's stupid to play injured...

It's good that it's his left hand. Won't mess with his outstading shooting.
