Lakers rookie Josh Hart, hanging with us live for @SpectrumSN pre-game show, says he plans to return from broken left hand March 30 vs. Milwaukee.
It would be right at the start of the 4-to-6 week timetable laid out by the Lakers after his surgery.

This might mark the end of IT's Laker career with BI and Hart getting minutes. They may even want to get Payton some run. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.

Lakers really miss this guy. One of those players that fits into any team. Frankly he may be more than just 3 and D, there may be more to his game. _________________ 17 time World Champions

Payton II as backup 1 over IT?
Um....no?
LOL. Yeah why would we do that? GP3 has no future here.

This is great news, we can really use him. He is a great asset to our team.
It is my unequivocal belief that we would be at about 35 wins at this point if we had not lost Josh and BI at this time. I also believe that the high 30's, and even 40 wins, would be in reach if we hadn't lost them.
These are two extremely talented players that have been out. With Julius finding his game, and an occasional spark from Kuzma, we'd be right there.

Injuries happen to every team. Look at those teams that lost starters on opening night for example. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

It's one thing to have starters who can score and defend get injured, and I don't think the Lakers differ from other teams on the injury front in that regards. However, I do think the Lakers were hit with terrible timing that produced a much bigger roster imbalance than most teams we faced. Losing BI, Josh Hart, and allowing Brewer to walk all at the same time is what really nailed us IMO. It left us with zero players at the 3 position. It's been ugly to watch IMO after that point, unless Randle has a giant night.
I still think we have a shot at upper 30's, possibly getting close to 40 wins if BI is fully healthy and we get Hart back for the last stretch of games though.
Luke Walton said Josh Hart played 3-on-3 yesterday and looked great. Hart lobbied to be cleared to play today, but that clearance has yet to come. Should be soon, though. We’ll be talking to Hart live tomorrow at 1 p.m. for “Lakers Voices.”
