In the early going maybe Bryant can be a Clint Capela type while adding a 3pt shot. He's actually a little bigger/longer than Clint. We don't have a strong PnR guard like Harden or CP3, but I'd like see Lonzo and Jordan run that action with him some.
Long term if I were Bryant I'd look at Embiid as the archetype. Similar measurables coming out of the draft, at least in terms of size and length. Embiid the much better prospect obviously. But both sport unusual touch from distance for 7 footers, can change ends, have decent handles and decent passing skills. Both have an edge to them. Embiid had much better balance, coordination and overall athleticism. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.

Thomas Bryant's G-League updated stats:
He's averages of 21.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.
Hes making almost 60% of his field goals and over 46 percent of his 3s.
The G league is good for him, nice that he can get some reps in instead of being buried on the bench. Lopez will not be around for ever, Big Mamba should get some minutes on the NBA squad next year. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss

He should get minutes now with the crap play Lopez has been providing.

He's already buried on the bench. How many times has TB been called up only for him to just sit and watch our team lose?
Zubac: 21 ppg, 10 rebs, 2.5 blks
I dont think putting up good numbers in G-league means he deserves to play yet. Hoping Bryant works mostly on his defense, man to man, pnr and rotations.

Bryant is not ready IMO. His gait needs fixing and he needs reps that he will not get in the NBA. Lopez should be given some time to work out his issues. Big Mamba's time will come, but right now I think it is too soon for him.
Maybe in the second half of the season if Lopez is still struggling. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss

He definitely needs more time to work on his game before he is truly NBA ready. His time will come.

yeah except Zubac put up numbers against real NBA teams too.
Why do you think everyone was so high on him and his potential going into summer league? But only showed how easily swayed they can be by completely giving up on him cause he didn't play well due to a miriad of other things.
People need to stop acting like Zubac only played well in the G-League last season. He played well during the games too, otherwise none of the people touting him wouldn't have made such a dramatic shift in Summer League. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

The Funkbot is a huge Zubac fan! I agree, kid was scoring at will against NBA defenders last season, he has so many moves in the post, always keeps the ball up high away from the guards and has a really soft touch around the rim. He was good a going after blocks too.
His man problems are slow feet on defense and trouble switching on guards.
I am not sad to see him get more reps in the G league either because Lopez is here now. You can only have so many slow footed 7 footers on your roster these days. IMO Lopez will be gone after this season if not sooner, so we will get to see more Zu and Big Mamba. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss

what is wrong with defense for zubac and bryant? simply too slow? is it coachable?
Zu is slow intrinsically, but I am sure that he can pick up some speed through conditioning and training.
Big Mamba is actually pretty quick in a straight line for a big guy, he just has weird gait issues that seem to inhibit his lateral quickness. I am hoping that this can be mitigated through training like Indy was able to do with Myles Turner. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss
Thats why you want a 4 next to Lopez that can switch on the perimeter, that way Lopez can stay in the paint to protect the drive or provide additional defense and doesn't have to step out on the perimeter to do it. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

is the G league 3 point line the same distance from the hoop as the NBA 3 point line? _________________ one dog goes that way the other dog goes the other way
