This throws out the theory that this lakers FO is only about their draft picks. Magic and Pelinka don’t care, anyone is expendable/touchable. |

He seemed like a young energetic dude who had some raw skills who could eventually turn into something. Guess the FO knows more than I do about him, see ya TB...your bench celebrations were the best we’ve had since Sacre, say hi to him for us. |

This is the correct move. Zu is the better player and a solid rotation player who could eventually start. |

Shows something significant. This is the first case where Magic has shown he's willing to rate a previous regime player over one selected during his era. Zu, Randle and Ingram are the last of the Mitch era. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

"Today's NBA" is pretty much defined by the Golden State Warriors, and even they have found use for traditional centers like Andrew Bogut and Zaza Pachulia. There's times when "switch everything" doesn't work and you need an inside presence. |

Or....Wagner and Bryant are the same type of player. It may make sense to have someone who is slightly different for matching up against different teams. _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”

Except, at least I've always believed this, one key part of the draft day move to trade down was to get Hart locked in on a smaller salary. I know the difference from 28 to 30 seems insignificant, but if you're in penny pinching mode to make LBJ + PG work, every dime matters. Bryant was a just bonus.

I've said that, too. It's probably both. |

Imho, a sure sign that LeBron is coming, because he wants vets who can shoot on his squad. He likes his old familiar furniture....Channing Frye?
I was really hoping to see what Bryant would do against summer league competition.

Let me just add that there is something that is fundamentally wrong with the G-League when a player who makes first team All G-League as a rookie gets waived before the start of the next season. _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”

So, does this help us keep Randle’s cap hold if we wanted to make a trade for Kawhi centered around Ingram using cap room only (and not have to match salaries)? |

Zu and Wagner are more skilled than Thomas Bryant. I said he'd be odd-man out when it came down to it.
That said, Bryant could still be available for a vets minimum after Free Agency is over. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Agreed - this may just be about cap maneuvering. I'm gonna be patient about this. |

Bryant (last 5 Games playing 22 MPG)
12 PPG
6 REB
Zubac (last 5 games playing 12 MPG)
9 PPG
6 REB
Zubac's shown he can produce at this and a higher level when he gets playtime as well.
If only Luke played Zubac as consistently as the Wizards have been playing Bryant. But Luke is our coach so.... Zubac will go out and have a 11/9 game in 23 Mins(but not play the 4th for some reason), and then play 12 mins the next night cause...reasons. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Zubac is just the better player.
Bryant is a great kid, and I love to watch him play even away from the Lakers.
Zubac just has a higher ceiling. |
