I thought about that but the thought of Fatione Porker in a Lakers uni utterly disgusts me. I mean really, I pray it isn't so. I know Miami is desperate to get rid of him though so they might just let him go for some exp k. He has a 5 year deal though. Not sure if we want to touch that. Did I mention the thought of him in a Lakers uni makes me hurl?

The insiders said they had to think about the trade before celebrating it though so it was probably someone unlikely. Could be Fatione but I don't see him as working with the cap space and Phil's type of player.

Two players wear number 8 though no? Doesn't Derek Anderson wear no 8 too? The insiders say it was an upgrade in talent though and I don't think DA is all that talented.

Obviously you should just ignore threads you don't like. You already posted twice and you're still complaning so why continue to read and post in it?

I was just kidding about Walker...I don't like him at all.

...but guess who's wearing #8 and is currently involved in many trade rumors.............Earl Watson.

The trade is Kmart and Voshon Lenard. Let's please just hope Mitch gets it done. I think Mihm + George + Slava is the outgoing. I would prefer a PG who puts up more assists, so I'm hoping we can get watson instead, but that isn't the current rumor. Let's see what happens.

Edit. This is simply my guess from random things I've read around here. Don't take it as anything more than that.

I didn't mean anything by that line. I'm not claiming to know anything special.

Anything to it Eric? Just give me a winky face if I'm on the right track.

Also "On local radio, Magic Johnson said he felt the Lakers were two players away: a good one . . . and a role player."

More than one trade?

The Laker trade for Jonathan Bender is finally going down!!!!

Ok so the mods at CL are talking like they know something. Hinting but not willing to reveal any names. This poster Sky seems to be implying something will go down. Here is a qoute from one of the Mods that direct you towards Emplay's report for possible answers:

It definitely does! Please go over emplay's last report Swol. You might find the answers there.

But '07 is impacted alot by this rumor. In what manner, I just can't say. I'm sorry! I'm not gonna step on their shoes...I'm gonna let the true insiders answer that one.

Being that Emplay likes to put hints and hidden messages in his reports "It would take a deal of Jurassic proportions" I was thinking to myself could there be something in this recent report? Ok I may sound like a crazy conspiracy theorist but I'll give a shot anyways. The 23 is the trade deadline. Eric follows that up with a "Watching the Lakers season has been more stressful than the weekly dose of 24 on Fox. " "Certainly one can see parallels between Kobe Bryant and the protagonist Jack Bauer. Will Bryant evade the gauntlet of double and triple teams thrown recently at him night in and night out, with his cohorts falling at his side (Lamar Odom out for two games, Chris Mihm still on the shelf)? Maybe he should change his jersey number to 24 . . .

Two references to the number 24. I'm not gonna pretend like I know who the Lakers are going after but I checked the entire league for players who wore the number 24 and here's what I came up with:

You put together the caps.

T - I - R - N - M - A

Now, lets sort those letter to see if there's something hidden there.

24 is a tv show. And I have a cousin who has a friend who has an uncle that knows Kevin Garnetts barber and he swears KG loves tv.

I think we all know who's coming to town.

Really,... because my best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Emplay pass out at 31 Flavors last night after hearing about this thread. I guess it's pretty serious.

The answer to the question in your topic is YES. Emplay has said himself that the player in discussion is listed in his article...I read it on CL in the thread that got locked...not sure if he posted the same thing here.
