Thoughts? How can a player on a 6 seed team win MVP? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Average a triple double and have all the top teams be super teams (or just well run teams) where no single player is heavily depended upon.
And not be Kobe, of course.

I would have picked Kawhi, but I knew that was not going to happen. Therefore congrats Russell. _________________ #IStillBelieveTaurean

When Harden gets an MVP, it will be complete for OKC. 3 MVP's on one team, and they drafted all of them within a 3 year span?

Not this year. Seems rather odd considering they waited a long time. Gotta milk that TV money I guess.

Harden being an MVP-caliber player is enough. OKC screwed the pooch.

I would have voted for Russ but I do feel bad for James Harden. 2nd time he could have won MVP. It took someone averaging a triple double and leading the NBA in scoring to beat him out this time. Kawhi as well. It was an incredible race for MVP this season.

Don't care how good your stats are. You flop like a punk (bleep) (Lebron/Harden) and you'll be automatically ruled out for any honors. _________________ "The best there is. The best there was. The best there ever will be.", said Bret Hart regarding the Los Angeles Lakers.

An honest congratulations to Russell Westbrook on winning the MVP. It is my least favorite award, but a pretty big deal all the same.

Just like the 2006 Lakers without Kobe...
That's why I don't consider MVP awards so important when you talk about all time greats.

You could make arguments for other guys, but what Westbrook did this year was pretty historic.
That said, I doubt he finishes in the Top 3 next year as the MVP is really more of a popularity contest than anything. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny
