Top African Basketball Players Face Off Against NBA’s Best in South Africa

Quote:
This Saturday, August 5th, some of the best African basketball players will face off against a selection of some of the most recognizable names in the second edition NBA Africa Game taking place in Johannesburg, South Africa.

It’s a showdown you wouldn’t want to miss as the two teams, Team Africa and Team World go against each other to defend their honor.

The NBA said that the game is designed to bring the organization closer to its African fanbase as Basketball continues to rise in popularity across the continent.

“Basketball is witnessing explosive growth in Africa,” NBA commissioner Adam Silver said.

I've been watching the replay of it right now it's in the last minute now and this is a real game. Highly enjoyable. I need these things because this is that desperation time of the year when I'm clamoring for any remotely decent basketball. But this has been a really good game. Both teams are playing hard and competing and it's not just a shooting exhibition. In fact it's been mentioned several times that it's been way better than the foolishness that is the All-Star game.

This article/ thread title is also kind of wrong/misleading. It makes it sound like it's NBA players vs random guys from Africa (which...). It's an all NBA player game of NBA players from various parts of the globe vs NBA Players of African origin (born there/parents born there/etc.)
