Sitting here at work and just ate one of the best tasting black plums Ive had in forever which had me thinking what is my favorite fruit.
For me it has to be a perfectly ripened pineapple that's been cut into bite sized pieces and chilled in the fridge.

Syzygium samarangense aka wax apple which is native to Asian countries. During one of my travels, the host brought out a bowl of sliced wax apples and I thought they'd taste the same as any other apple. Much juicier with a tartness that's just right, haven't had anything like that here.

I love strawberries. It might've been apples once upon a time, because they're so healthy and delicious, and they keep so much longer than most other fruits, but I have a slight allergic reaction from them if I eat them too often.

Voted pineapple but also like mango a lot

And I love red berries as well

Oranges and strawberries follow closely after that

Not a huge fan of apples

What strange looking fruit but sounds delicious. Hope I get to try one someday. I enjoy Honeycrisp apples for the same reason.

my problem with strawberries is that I have the hardest time finding some with the ideal taste and texture. More times than not I end up with strawberries that dont taste sweet at all.

Guava normally.

Voted apple because that's what I eat the most, but they're not inherently better than most other choices. I like try different types. Galas and Fujis are good. I occasionally do apple slices with a little peanut butter.

Cantaloupe with pepper and watermelon with salt are good.

Those huge grapes with clear core and light red skin are my faves. Hard to find. Bananas are aite.

Oranges are the ones I most rarely eat in natural form. Can't even recall the last time I peeled and ate an orange. Probably 25 yrs. I don't drink OJ.

Sweet corn is a beautiful thing. Quality, perfectly ripe tomatoes are as well.

Watermelon.

Nothing more refreshing than slicing a cold watermelon in half and eating it with a spoon.

Hate melon. Hate cantaloupe. Those things taste so bad, they should be considered vegetables.
When I get a fruit salad filled with those 2, a little part of me dies.
But all other fruits are bueno in my book.

my family (7 kids total) used to do that growing up. Watermelon split in half uncovered in the fridge with a spoon inside us to scoop out some when we desired.... yes I grew up in a ratchet family.
Now the thought of that disgusts me. I neatly cut my watermelon and store in a sealed container.

As a kid my mom would ship my sisters and me off to the farm our family owned, 116 acres. It was really a ol school farm. No gas or electricity.

Before we went into the fields to tend the farm, family only, my Aunt would send one of the kids to pick a watermelon or two or three and put them in the stream we had running by close to the house. The stream would really make the melons cold. It was like a refrigerator, keep the milk from spoiling.

Man I can remember sitting on the front porch at night, spitting watermelon seeds, listening to the night and watching fireflies.

Our main crop was tobacco. The curing barns had a corn field next to them. When curing the crop you had to keep a fire burning all night.

Man, picked some roasting ears, pure country butter, churned. Ate fresh roasted corn all night. Didn't need breakfast and could sleep in the next day.

I'm a city kid who loved the country.

Asian Pear. For those uninitiated, think gigantic pear about the size of two adult fists shaped like a ball (not the traditional 'pear' shape) and way sweeter and crispier than the pears you're accustomed to. In season in Autumn around August~September.

I like eating frozen blueberries now; put them in water in place of ice cubes. Like drinking healthier kool-aid without the added sugar/artificial flavoring.
