That Russell trade is going to look so stupid if we don't get two max free agents this summer.

Jeebus those lineups were atrocious. Deng should never be on the floor.

How does Luke not play Kuzma and Zo together?

How does Zo not get any reps during garbage time??

Ingram was horrid. Just brutal.

Lopez couldn’t hit a three.

Defense was terrible.

Just sloppy as hell.

Other than that I think we did okay.

Agree with all of this. Just start Kuzma so that he can actually get some open looks.

What is that starting lineup?

Absolutely no shooters around Lonzo.

This ain't Hockey, dare I say, Puke.

Luke has been terrible but he sure didn't put this roster together

As am I and many others here. The difference is that some of us can see through the PR. I hope Lebron, Westbrook, CP3 and PG come here. I don't believe that they will, though. We have nothing to offer now. The last FO thought that "we are LA" would sell and found out that it didn't. This FO hasn't learned from that. Once we get a real building block to attract other stars, then we can move onto contention.

I always thought the We Are LA angle and the pressure to get Free Agents came from Jeanie. The more I see the more I think that's the case

You do realize that having no shooters is because of the FO, not Luke? We had shooters in DLO, Lou and Young. All are gone.

Dlo scoring like crazy but still bad defense. So who knows..

DLO trade = Harden Trade.

Going down as one of the worst in NBA in last decade.

We will see but right now I am hoping that Lopez + Kuzma > DLO + Mozgov.

Lopez is not a part of our core future, get that out of your mind. He is about 10 years older than Lonzo and Ingram as of today. Kuzma is also not the prospect Dlo was, with that said Ingram still looks like Wesley Johnson....without the jumpshot. He should have been the player we traded, not Dlo.

Also, we had the next pick anyway, so we could have got Kuzma.

Also, If we really wanted to make sure to get him, we could have got that pick with MUCH LESS

Pretty much. Spot on.

We suck.

Lol.

People are predicting us to win 28-35 games. We aren’t good. The losing I can understand, it is how we lose that matters. No shooting and no second creator. A big FU to the FO for that.

Walton has to tighten up the rotation. No use putting Dead Deng on the floor ever again. He got his big payday, and has sucked ever since. Stretch him and get it over with. We should have traded Deng and Ingram to Jersey instead of you know who and Mozzy. Water under the bridge, but is also the truth.

Lonzo is not going to be nearly as effective as he would be with shooters on the court. Nance, Randle and Ingram could build the great wall of china with as many bricks as they lay. Kuzma needs to play, a lot. Any guy who can actually run and shoot and has a feel for the game needs to be on the court. Clarkson, Hart - both guys can play. Hell, Brewer is still an asset on the court. Hustles, fast, scrappy. Good bench player.

But we are still so many players short. And that would be ok if you could see a cogent plan in place at what they are building, but there isn't a plan in place right now. More hype than real hope.

Well Nance doesn't even shoot the ball at all. Ingram is terrible. Deng is a corpse.

Clarkson and Kuz have shown they can hit some shots.

And DLo was both of those things. Los Angeles Knicks just as I said in the beginning.

The trade makes no bball sense and it was personal, but what do you expect from a FO run on emotion, hype, and an addiction to media attention

I think getting rid of Dlo, Swaggy etc was for the locker room. But the current roster construction is on the front office

We need shooters. We need defenders. We need to reel in Ingram's role (bench him if need be). We need another playmaker next to Lonzo. We need to start Kuzma and Clarkson. This roster is so unimaginative and just a terrible fit altogether. Maginka needs to start making moves.

I didn't expect us to win, but I thought we'd at least look nice.

Now I've lost that hope.

Luke need to coach better. Get Kuzma going, get Lonzo to look for his shots more, get guys open 3s, close out better on 3s, more backdoor plays, matchup better... aaaaarrrgggh (I need a scapegoat... Luke for now)

I can really see how Ball, Russell and Ingram work really well together. Magic could have set the 20 points target for Russell which is more realistic and let Ingram focus on the defence first, then let Ball facilitate the offence. Too bad this can't happen.

Ball, DLo, Kuzma would be pretty potent perimeter trio right now then let the bigs fight out the minutes

The hot takes and over-reactions are pretty insane after one game, as expected, but the most disappointing thing to me was the lack of energy from the team. I predicted 27 wins. I know we're not going to be good. But I'd hope for opening night the energy would be at 110% and we'd compete. It wasn't and we didn't.

Traded away such a promising young player only for a dream....

I would prefer Balll, Russell, Ingram, Nance, Mozgov/Randle over Ball, KCP, Ingram, Nance, Lopez.
