I Love this man
His son was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck at birth. Labeled spastic and braindead .. Doctors said he should be institutionalized or euthanized .. he and his wife cried and said nope.. He will be raised like every other healthy normal child and given a life of hope and education and happiness...

His son.. got a college education .. and has competed in more than 1000 road races of which 257 were Triathlons yet he cannot walk or use his mouth to speak.

All this racing began because the boy found out about a charity event being held for a local athlete who had become paralyzed in an accident. Rick wanted the boy to keep hope in happiness of life and that he could still have a good life even if he was paralyzed.

So, he asked his Father if he could race in the event to earn money to help the boy..... and SO... the Journey Began
